It's wedding invitation time! So, you’re organizing this shindig and hopefully not come to blows over who is attending (listen to this podcast episode if you are struggling) and now you’ve got to tell people about it. I popped along to the Etsy Wedding Fair to meet some very talented stationery designers, artists, illustrators, and letterpress legends to bring you advice on how to choose the most fabulous wedding invitations, budget and timelines! The main goal of the invitation is to convey information. Who, where, when? You don’t need 18 separate cards and sections. The wedding invitation is the first opportunity (unless you’ve sent a Save the Date) that you have to convey to your guests the tone and style of your upcoming event. If you are having a classic formal wedding, express that to your guests with an appropriately colored and worded invitation. If it’s a rockabilly wedding, get that theme going early, have fun with it, use color, etc. As you’ll learn in today’s podcast there are many different printing and design processes that you can select for your wedding stationery.
