On day 3 in Ghana, we spent most of our day on one site in Adaklu Hli Have. Upon arrival, I saw that nearly 100 people were already working together to continue construction on a brand new school that was being built, and it was time to get our hands a little dirty and pitch in too. It was amazing to see the entire community - men, women, young and old pitching in to build this school. They make it look easy, but it definitely was not! Here is more information about why we were in Ghana:In December of 2014, I ran a campaign to build a school in Ghana, Africa through the Pencils of Promise organization. This was an idea that was inspired through my conversation with Adam Bruan, the founder of PoP, who I interviewed in Session #106 of the SPI Podcast:http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/session106Not only did the SPI community come together with a record-breaking number of donors during this campaign, but my family and I agreed to match up to $25,000 to build one additional school beyond what was already funded.Together, over $50,000 was raised, and I received notice earlier this year that me and one guest would be able to visit Ghana and see the schools that we built, meet the people in these communities and see first hand exactly what kind of impact we were making. Thanks to my trusty videographer, Caleb Wojcik, who came along with me to capture these moments for you, we were able to put together a series of 4 videos (1 for each day of the trip), that highlight the sights, sounds and feelings I experienced while on this journey.A big thank you goes out to everyone who donated to this campaign last year, and for all of the fans of SPI and people who have supported me in the past, thank you for letting me lead this journey for all of us, and I'm hoping these videos give you a taste of how I felt and how important this is to me.Giving is great, and I hope to always be an example of that. To my audience, to my kids especially, and hopefully to the world.Additionally, I'm proud to have recently been added to the Advisory Board of Pencils of Promise, to be able to help out even more.
