Submit ReviewAfter the fiasco that was the Love Is Blind "live" reunion, Kay and Jared were finally able watch and wow, they have thoughts. Kay is begging people to stop apologizing for things they don't need to apologize for, and they come to the conclusion all of these people are too chronically online. Of course Jared and Kay address the Vanessa Lachey of it all because WTF was that? Be sure to follow @thebetchelor on Instagram to keep up with all reality tv and entertainment news.

The wedding bells are ringing, the farm chic tables are set and we are ready to see who says I do. Jared and Kay breakdown the rumors about Kwame Appiah allegedly paying someone to play the part of his sister, and Jackie Bond's statement about how things really went down. Jared discovered the real reason behind all of Chelsea Griffin's crazy jewelry. And of course, it wouldn't be an episode of LIB where Micah Lussier's "BFF" doesn't act like the worst person we have never met. Kay and Jared have many thoughts on Chelsea and Kwame, and that engagement photoshoot. They also discuss how they see Zach in a different light after meeting his family, and seeing Bliss' mom meet with him. It almost brought a tear to their eyes! We are left with blue balls with the insane cliffhanger, and can't wait for the finale. Be sure to follow @thebetchelor on Instagram to keep up with all reality tv and entertainment news.

Jared and Kay break down the latest three episodes, and this week we're leaving the honeymoon phase and going into reality. Zach reunites with Bliss, and shocks us all but tbh they seem made for each other. Marshall and Jackie make us all a little on edge and Brett and Tiffany remain perfect and why we watch this show in the first place. Kay and Jared talk about Micah's apology and why we all need to just stop apologizing. And we get visits from ghosts of pods past. We have reached the summit, aka the final episode of season 27 of The Bachelor. Zach has picked Kaity (duh), and we can now sail into the sunset. This week Jared and Kay ask all the important questions, like "why tf did Gabi wear yellow to her almost proposal" and "is Sean Lowe spineless", spoiler the answer to that is yes. Jared gives us some hot takes when it comes to being team Zach and how he handled fantasy suites. Truly an eye opening episode. You don't want to miss it. We've made it fantasy suites, or as Zach fondly refers to it as "sex week". Sean Lowe remains his inspiration, and Zach overcorrects the mistakes Clayton made. Jared and Kay react to Zach creating a "no sex" policy, then watch him essentially, f*ck up. Jared describes him as the Goldilocks of Bachelor nation, trying to find someone who is "just right". And Kay wants whatever beta blockers Ariel is taking because she is the definition of chill. Follow @thebetchelor on Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date on all reality tv!

Kay's favorite episode is here, and the women are ready to tell all. There are feuds that we didn't even know existed between a one time wonder and Katherine aka Kat. Shockingly, Christina Mandrell was a nothing burger, and we got a first for the Bachelor Franchise, they actually addressed an issue head on and Greer had the best response to her reprehensible actions. This week Jared and Kay take on hometowns, aka Jared's favorite week of them all. We visit Vermont, and Zach shares something he should've taken to the grave (it involves mustard), and Ariel's brother grills Zach by simply asking if he knew his sisters birthday. Ultimately, Zach sends Charity home after a rather boring hometown visit and Kaity wins the week by making this man build furniture. Iconic if you ask me. You don't want to miss it. We are in week seven, the week before hometowns and the pressure is ON! The girls are in Budapest, ready to take things to the next level with Zach. But first, he needs them all to trauma dump so he can assess whether or not he wants to deal with it. Kay and Jared ask the important questions this week, like did he lead Brooklyn on? Is he connecting with Kaity because she also lives in Austin? And of course, who the f*ck is he?! You don't want to miss it. Only Kay and Jared could take the most robotic, bland, dystopian episode in Bachelor history and make it fun. This week, we celebrate Jared’s birthday with the recap of the bizarre London trip. Greer is a tea lover and has a breakdown, but was she wrong for trying to empathize with Zach and his position? Gabi is becoming a front runner, kind of out of nowhere and we say goodbye to Mercedes and Kylee. You don’t want to miss it. This week Kay and Jared ask the important question: do adult men have "best friends" or does Zach just have zero? Because if Sean Lowe is the first person he calls for relationship advice, that's deemed a red flag. They also tackle the idea that reality contestants have possibly all become AI generated, void of any personality because they’re scared to be destroyed by the online Bachelor mafia. It's a dramatic episode… Genevieve has a sling that no one seems to address, Brianna sets the Bachelor Mansion on fire as she exits, and Christina throws herself on some stairs. This week Jared and Kay take on Vanity Fair and their lack substance article that claims The Bachelor is DOA. Of course, Jared being a man of the people, stands up for all of us who love reality tv or as some people refer to it, "garbage". Kay makes an incredible observation about the Bachelor mansion, and Jared thinks Christina is possibly a super villain. It's a jam packed episode, they give their top contenders (Kay's will shock you), and Jared finds the Tahzjuan of it all to be over produced. Enjoy the episode!

Jared and Kay come into this 27th season with their side eye and skepticism but that doesn't stop them from talking all about the premiere of The Bachelor. Jared kindly refers to this franchise as the McDonald's of television and Kay wants to know just how many Dyson Airwraps were used in the making of these intro looks. They also ask the important questions like, is Jesse Palmer a frat bro ghost haunting the halls of the Bachelor mansion, and who the fuck are the Mandrell Sisters?! Not to mention, Jared's one sided beef with the SPF police continues. Enjoy the episode!

He started as the guy who dated both bachelorettes, to then become the most dated guy on the beach in paradise, now he’s here with Jared and Kay to wrap up this season of The Betchelor. Jared wastes no time asking the hard-hitting questions… where his ig name came from, how tall he is, and of course his thoughts on Kate. Logan also gives some advice to anyone thinking about signing up for The Bachelorette (applications are open now btw). They finish up the episode with details about the beach and how much Logan loved it because it’s just like camping… that would be an immediate no for us but we’re happy he enjoyed it.

After a week of letting the finale sink in, Kay and Jared dive into the details and highlight the best (and worst) moments of the season. Welcome to The Betchies, grab your popcorn because there’s a lot of drama to be unpacked. Before they get into the awards, the elephant in the room needed to be addressed – Victoria and Greg doing their couple world tour. Are they actually in love or is this just an elaborate business deal? We would love to know. Kay and Jared finish up the episode with tips on how Bachelor in Paradise could be more entertaining in the future…producers, take notes. Congrats! We finally made it to the end, pour yourself a drink – you deserve it. This week Jesse promised us the most dramatic finale ever and it was nothing short of dramatic that’s for sure. But there were definitely three key takeaways – the Tyler and Brittany breakup, the Victoria Greg Johnny love triangle, and Logan’s new look. Jared and Kay go through each couple and talk about the relationship, how it ended, and where it all went wrong. They end the episode with a round of games, weekly awards, and thoughts on The Bachelor preview. Let’s just say robot Zach as The Bachelor is not something we look forward to. With one week until the finale, Kay joins Jared in the studio to review the drama that ensued over the last few episodes. We had pointless fights, we had dances, and we even had a potential yeast infection? We’re dwindling down to the end, so at this point its couple up or get out. After an intervention gone wrong, that’s exactly what happened to Jessenia and Ency. Where do we stand on that whole situation? Jared is here to shout it from the rooftops that he is team Andrew, to the point where they’re even on a DMing basis. They wrap up the episode with the usual round of games, weekly awards, and what they think next week will look like.

As a pleasant surprise, we only had one episode this week, but it luckily did not lack the drama. Last week’s preview teased that something was going to send the whole beach into tears, and that it did. After choosing Rodney at the rose ceremony, Eliza still ended up breaking his heart. Kay and Jared get into where things went wrong and how it could have been handled better. They also dive into the other love triangle on the beach between Kate, Logan, and Hayden, and how Kate is producing her own show within the show. As always, they finish the episode with weekly awards, games, and discuss some prominent spoilers put out by Bachelor Nation.

This week we get two episodes of what Jared calls “couples beach.” It seems like everyone is paired up and enjoying a drama free moment in paradise…until Genevieve and Aaron give everyone a show. If that wasn’t enough, three new people join the beach to mix things up – Hayden (still without Rambo) and the twins. Jared lets us know how he feels about the twins. Let’s just say he grouped them with Ashley and Jared, and we know how he feels about them. Kay and Jared go into detail on the love triangles, the new contestants, and who’s just there for the cameras. Another week down and it might have actually been our most dramatic week yet. The split is over and Jesse Palmer was noticeably struggling to get these women to the end. Essentially, the original women were not having it and Jesse was their stand-in therapist. Believe it or not, some of the reunions on the beach did not go as smoothly as some would have hoped. We had break ups, new connections, self-eliminations, and some couples that actually survived. Jared and Kay talk love triangles, reunions, and real world dating on this week’s episode. They discuss each couple, the overall cast, and the new split format, and let me tell you – they have some thoughts. Jesse promised us a twist this week and he definitely delivered. “The Split” might seem familiar to fans of other dating shows, that’s because they basically pulled it directly from Love Island. How do Jared and Kay feel about this you ask? 10/10 – Jared wants them to go even further and steal elements from even more reality shows. For once, it feels like the producers played their cards right. On the other hand, they also forced us to watch this clearly orchestrated situation between Michael and Danielle for far too long. We already know the producers have a heavy hand on the show, at least hide it a little better. Jared and Kay finish the episode with the most dramatic moments, weekly awards, and hopes for what the rest of the season looks like.

Another week in paradise and let’s just say it wasn’t all sunshine and tequila. TBH it was mostly a married couple farting…but we won’t talk about they who shall not be named. Kay and Jared plan out a foolproof way to get through the first week as a contestant, you're welcome for the free advice. Jesse Palmer was a week too early hyping up the drama, but it finally arrived. We’ve waited what felt like years for said drama, and it did not disappoint. We got proposals, we got breakups, we even got cheating. After a long season of lackluster relationships, Gabby finally gets her ring and Rachel gets her time in the spotlight. For the grand finale, they announced the most cliché man as our next Bachelor – Zach! The announcement basically had Kay begging for a recount. Kay and Jared swap theories on what happened behind the scenes with Rachel and Tino, share ideas on who the next Bachelor should have been, and as always, play a round of would you rather, fantasy suites/hometowns/send home, and weekly awards. We finally got to watch the life-changing episode they promised us, and let’s just say it fell a little short of life-changing. Watching this live finale, in the words of Zach, “it was tough”. We had contestants self-eliminating, a surprisingly happy Tony, Grandpa John, and just a sprinkle of drama. For “the most dramatic finale ever” it really wasn’t that dramatic. Kay and Jared go into detail and share their thoughts on who is coming out of this with a ring on their finger. The second night we get an hour of Gabby & Jason, a little bit of Rachel & Zach, and a whole lot of unresolved drama that Jesse so graciously said we have to wait to see. Thanks Jesse! Its finally getting good and we have to wait! Kay and Jared discuss Gabby being left with – sorry, choosing, Erich and who they think would be the best fit for Rachel. We were promised Men Tell All, instead we got ads, a hometown, and more ads. Starting the episode with a hometown was definitely out of place, but it somehow made the episode worth watching? Otherwise it would have been two straight hours of infomercials. The lack of villain appearances made it a relatively undramatic Men Tell All, which is not surprising based on the rest of the season. Roby was giving fan energy, Logan acting like he won the season, and Nate gave the performance of his life making use no one could poke a hole in his story. The grand finale – Meatball sticking to his sauce bit once again. Kay and Jared talk bloopers, glow ups, and finish with would you rather, fantasy suites/hometowns/send home, and awards.

We made it to hometowns – Jared’s favorite episode of the season. We managed to get more emotion packed into one episode than we have the whole season. Who gained the most followers? How much screentime does each contestant get? How many canceled cocktail parties were there? These are the hard-hitting questions and she’s got all the answers. Bachelor Data might be spoiler-free, but she does have some tea and theories that are worth diving into. One week until hometowns! Don’t worry, we’re just as surprised and confused as you. Jared doesn’t feel comfortable meeting the families yet - we still don’t know anything about these guys! The lack of drama has really created a lack of interest in this two bachelorette format. We’ve got Nate who didn’t fight to stay and Tino getting a little too worked up after not getting the group date rose, but still very little drama. The previews promised us a part two to the Logan show, but what did we get? Covid. Well Logan got Covid, we just had to piece the puzzle together to figure out that he left. Kay and Jared talk favorites (of lack thereof), villains, and play a round of our favorite games.

Somehow we’re only 2 episodes away from hometowns… but this week is apparently Logan week. ICYMI Logan is switching teams from Rachel to Gabby—‘the ol’ switcheroo’ as Jared puts it. And, Kay is so done with the Rachel sob story. Another rejection doesn’t warrant a canceled group date. Then, J and Kay discuss how Rachel and Gabby are the epitome of dating tropes: Rachel’s the disheartened dater who wants to be Cinderella, while Gabby’s the ‘chill girl’ who somehow knows how to handle everything. But, J and Kay wonder…can you be too chill? In Jared’s words, Gabby put together a team of ‘elm trees’ as her suitors. IMO, height puts blinders on personalities—how can you see when you’re trapped in the middle of the elm forest anyway? Look up Gabby - he’s lying to your face. Seriously though, what’s the deal with Johnny? He didn’t give us much. On the other hand, Rachel wants Mr.Right to pick her so badly, it’s inevitable that she’ll end up with Mr.Wrong. Finally, J and Kay finish up with the usual games of Would Your Rather & Fantasy Suite, Hometowns, Send Home.

It finally feels like we aren’t making things up as we go along. This week Kay and guest host Brendan Scanzano get into the details of who’s gonna make it and who needs to just go home. Rachel and Gabby head to Paris where they have their one-on-ones with Tino and Jason, all seems to go according to plan. Later we get two separate group dates, somehow both of them turn out to be all about Rachel. But the real tragedy was having to watch Rachel’s group date, unless you’re Kay who was kinda into it. Meatball tattletales on Hayden and Hayden therefor, walks the plank. Rachel sends him home after a half-assed heartfelt story about his dog. He somehow couldn’t understand that him going home wasn’t about the dog, but more about the amount of times the producers had to censor his choice words about Rachel and Gabby.

Three weeks in and we finally have a clue of how this season is going to work… kinda. Rachel and Zach match personalities (or lack thereof) on their movie premiere date and producers use one of their lifelines to call in Grandpa John for Gabby and Erich’s bowling date. Kay and Jared want to know why we’re doing one-on-ones when we still have no idea who half these guys are. Maybe if they invite them all to a giant photoshoot wearing costumes, they’ll get to know them better? Lucky for us, Bachelor icon Franco (who?) is there to photograph the whole thing. At the end of the date, we have men coming out of the woodwork to tell Gabby “It’s not me, it’s you.” Hayden goes as far as saying she’s a little “rough around the edges.” Yet we have Rachel on the Rachel show crying because a few guys turned her down. Jesse announces enough is enough and the men must pick a side. Once again, we have another moment wondering if this is all improv. Welcome to frat mansion! Except at this frat party the ratio is slightly better than most. Two whole women! While the ladies have their very own lair this season, it also pays homage to the OG bachelor with zero-gravity and helicopter hot-tub dates. But Jared and Kay want to know more about Rachel and Gabby’s deliberation process. How do they decide who goes home and who gets a rose? In their lair? Then, Jared and Kay take a dive (lol) into the Speedo pageant. Rachel and Gabby want to see abs & so does Jared—duh. Next, they talk about Meatball Guy—dude you gotta have a second act. We also find out that the second you choose a woman, you’re kinda stuck. Unless you’re Logan, and you don’t choose. Ever. Meanwhile Nate has a daughter? And a dangling earring? Also, what’s up with Jordan V? No more strategy gatekeeping ABC! We want to see some two-on-two dates. Finally, J and Kay wrap things up with some games: F*ck Marry Kill Fantasy-Suites edition, Top Picks, IG Rising Star, Cringe Harrison Award, and their Roses for the week.

ICYMI Jared and Kay have been combing through cast pictures and descriptions of Gabby and Rachel’s contestants for the season. In this episode, starting with Joey (#12 on ABC's Bachelorette 'Meet the Cast'), they finish up what they started last week. From the male twins on the show, to Johnny The Rapper (and scammer), to Disney channel original series looks, to the Van life, Jared and Kay get into it all. Jared and Kay even debate about Roby the magician’s magical potential. After all, if he’s a 6, but he’s a Magician, he might trick Gabby and Rachel into being a 10, and avoid being sent home on night one. Jared & Kay even discuss the new Minions movie fad (the ‘shock’ of Jared’s life: this is what single men are up to these days?). Plus, Jared shares his selfish dream of buying a second home and his candidacy for the next Bachelorette season (write in to help him with his profile). Finally, they share their hopes for the season. Stay tuned for next week when they’ll be recapping the season premiere.

Then they dissect Katie’s one-on-one with Andrew S., and the seemingly intentional American-themed wardrobe choice during the rose ceremony. After briefly discussing Colton Underwood's latest photo shoot they finish up with their weekly categories and discuss the three new men who were sent home.

Fran and Ria from Chicks in the Office are back with Kay and Chris to talk about their initial reactions to the first two weeks of Katie’s season. They start with a conversation about being on the show for the “wrong reasons” and why that’s an outdated reason to send someone packing. They tell us which guys were cut too soon, how they felt about Cody and Aaron’s fight, and react to how some of the contestants are acting on social media. Plus, they discuss the decision to introduce a rotation of celebrity hosts on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise. Plus, they talk about the list of guys who went home on night one, and tell us whose exit they were most surprised to see. Finally, they cover the categories for this week, including the top performers so far, a unanimous villain, the IG rising star, Jared’s minute, and the Will You Accept this Rose recipient.

There’s only one week remaining before Katie’s season of the Bachelorette begins, so Kay, Chris and Jared take one more look at the cast photos. They start with a conversation about what we do (and do not) want to know about these guys before the show premieres, and the hints we get from their Instagram stories. Then they turn to the new cast bios to hand out some preseason awards, including “most improved” since the last time we reviewed their pictures, and the “first impression rose” for who stands out the most. They also make some predictions about who will try too hard, who will become the villain, and which guy (if anyone) will win the whole thing. Finally, they’re joined by Dylan Hafer, host of the brand new Betches daily podcast “Pop Alarm” to talk about who their dream celebrity Bachelor and Bachelorettes would be.
