Submit ReviewWe’re so happy you’re tuning in yet again to the world’s smartest podcast, featuring the world’s most incredible singer. This episode starts off with a heated debate between the cuties: is Arielle a good singer or a great singer? Unfortunately, Matt once again is being a bit too honest here, leaving Arielle’s dreams potentially crushed. Let us know how you think Arielle’s “American Idol” audition went. Is it too little, too late for this budding vocalist? The co-hosts also discuss how Arielle would feel about Matt hitting the town in full glam, play a game of photo roulette with Arielle’s thousands of photos, and talk about fellow singer Justin Bieber’s music career. We also dive into Matt’s recent viral tweet about a certain trend that has followers split 80/20. Which side are you on? We won’t see you next Tuesday, so all we can say is, until next time, Riled Uppers!

The cuties asked their followers for questions to answer on the pod, and once again, the Riled Uppers did not disappoint. We’re getting into everything from tramp stamps to mental health to wake-up songs to mini sandwiches. But first, Matt shares one of the drunk stories submitted after last week’s episode, and it leads to a very important question: why do drunk people just love getting naked? There is lots of motorboating involved in our first drunk story submission and it will make you want to go on a trip with your friend group immediately. Matt and Arielle also get into PDA on social media, what Matt looks like while he’s peacefully sleeping, and why zero gravity tattooing is their next hot business idea. See you next Tuesday!

Welcome back to the #1 educational podcast in the world! Today we learn what Lilikoi is. Basically, it’s an ingredient in a Lilikoi mule, a cocktail that Arielle had two too many of resulting in the cuties podcasting from bed. The hosts catch up on this season of Love Island, analyze the differences between girls and guys dressing rooms (Matt does NOT hang out in the girls dressing room, FYI), and discuss the best and worst kinds of drunks. Please send us all your drunkest stories for us to potentially share on the pod by emailing yomattcutshall@gmail.com. Plus, we dig into Finding Nemo, which by the way isn’t even actually about Nemo, OK? It’s about Nemo’s dad, Marlin, and Ellen DeGeneres! Speaking of Nemo and voice acting, Arielle auditions for Matt as a plastic bag in Pixar’s hottest new animated film. Does she get the job!? Catch you next week, Riled-Uppers, and in the meantime, please be careful around Lilikoi mules.

This episode takes a lot of turns. We start out by analyzing Matt’s recent farting activity, get real deep about anxiety, discuss what it means to be “ugly hot” versus “hot ugly,” and then circle right back around to farts. It’s a real rollercoaster over here, Riled Uppers. The hosts also go off on a tangent about just how much they love Tito’s Vodka, and you better believe Tito’s owes us some money over here or at least free vodka for life because this was not sponsored content. Or was it? You’re never going to know. (Just kidding, it’s not an ad.) Arielle and Matt are also revealing their Bridgerton names, discussing their favorite past video games, and answering a question that no one knew they needed the answer to: have you ever punched yourself in the face? Plus, a new round of fan questions (during which Arielle ends up accidentally imitating a child)! Until next week, cuties.

Hey, Matt’s mom, if you’re listening to this podcast episode... don’t. Matt and Arielle do not want you to hear what they hypothetically plan on doing with various celebrities so you’re going to want to exit that podcast app stat. Don’t get us wrong – the cuties are still fully engaged and doing well, but isn’t it fun sometimes to picture what would happen if Brad Pitt slid into the DMs? In other news, Matt and Arielle are planning what they’re most excited to do in their future (lots of lasagnas involved), revisiting their 20-year-old selves (lots of foam parties involved), and questioning who in the world named some of these Hostess snacks (because they were a ding dong). There’s money on the line once again as Arielle tries to guess Hostess’s revenue for the past several years for a solid Venmo payment from Matt. You will have to tune in to see if she’s now $1000 richer! We also learn what Arielle and Matt may name their first child, so please, no one copy our hosts with this unique baby name.

Watermelon sugar, hiiiiiii. We’re so excited you could join us because we have a lot to tell you, including the latest Love Island news (which involves Arielle locking lips with islanders) and the new business your hosts are starting. All very exciting. We also experience a murder live on the mic as a fight ensues between Matt and a Hawaiin spider. This podcast is not for the faint of heart. We learn that Arielle might not know as much about her fiancé as we initially thought (including his name), that Matt has an alter ego that works at a magazine called “Ocean Boy,” and that the boy-band expert co-hosts don’t actually know all the members of *NSYNC (or the name of the band *NSYNC for that matter). We’ll see you next time, and don’t forget the first episode of Love Island (aka the “kissing episode”) airs July 7!

If you’re a fan of AIM acronyms and FaceTiming your mom, this episode may just be for you. The two cuties are riled about friends who are living their lives like retired people, Gmail’s tendency to make us look like idiots in our mail icons, and Drake’s beef with Kanye West and the resulting song which is chock-full of poop scoop. Matt recounts the time he snuck vodka bottles into Les Deux nightclub (and how that situation ended for him) and Arielle shares that she doesn’t know how to spell the word “scorpion,” but she does know plenty about acronyms. The real question is... does she know enough to win $1000 in our new weird gameshow? One thing is certain; today’s episode will definitely make you a dumber person or a smarter one. Either way, we’re so happy you decided to come along for the journey.

The rumors are true. Yes, you heard it here first... Arielle has her period!! Oh also, Riled Up is back for another season. The two cuties are coming at you from Hawaii to catch you up on what is new in their lives and answer the important questions such as, should teens be allowed to dance to the Thong Song? When was makeup invented, and more importantly, why? Should Arielle fight Manon Matthews in the UFC ring for all to watch? On a more serious note, Matt and Arielle are so excited to officially be back on the mic catching up with their incredible listeners. You truly all mean so much to them, but especially you, sweet server from Soho House, and you, man at Alfred Coffee on Melrose Place. You two are the ones who brought Riled Up back to the podcast apps. After the first episode of Season Three, we thought about renaming it “Not The Smartest Podcast” but thought we’d keep things simple for you guys. Hope you’re ready to get riled!

Today we’re riled about vlogs, David Blaine, bouncy noses, Christmas gifts, emo videos, Matt’s upcoming birthday, private jets, and Jason Derulo. The co-hosts inspire the Riled Uppers with some amazing, thoughtful gift ideas for the holidays and beyond, while meanwhile, Matt does his best to uncover what he’s getting this year for Christmas. Plus, Arielle explains what went down during her past interactions with a super famous frog-eating magician and Matt explains what YouTube is – basically, a hot new site that is similar to blogs but with video instead. We know, groundbreaking. Also, how do you feel about Jason Derulo? You get all of our hosts’ thoughts and feelings on this week’s episode. Today we’re riled about aliens, The Bachelor, pooping at Nobu, peeing at festivals, backstage passes, superhero squirrels, Range Rovers, and Oscar winners. The two cuties are talking about a very serious topic this episode: how to best announce that you have to drop a deuce when you’re in a dating scenario. Luckily, Arielle has an effective strategy that she shares with the Riled Uppers. And speaking of going to the bathroom, Matt and Arielle break down the potty situation when it comes to music festivals, from Coachella to Glastonbury, and how best to navigate taking care of business. Matt also shares a traumatic experience that happened at a music festival, though thankfully it has nothing to do with number two. They’re also sharing tips for leasing a Range Rover during the pandemic and per usual, they’re talking about some Bieber news. See you next time!

Today we’re riled about Cyber Monday, the Adidas website, Tonya Harding, Lord of the Rings, Venmo requests, family time, and Chapstick. The co-hosts discuss how their Thanksgiving went (do we all need a break from fam after 3 days?) and how they feel about Cyber Monday, a day that has seriously overwhelmed Matt’s inbox. They also get into the finale of HBO’s The Undoing and if we’re telling the truth, Matt might not even know what went down because he was too distracted by Hugh Grant’s quivering lip and the expressions (or lack thereof) of another main character. We discover that Matt has no idea what actually happens in Lord of the Rings, the reason he's thrilled about a recent Amazon discovery, and how Matt may actually be a liar after Arielle calls him out on his unwillingness to golf and reveals the real time of day they’re recording the pod. Also, Adidas, if you’re reading this, we need to talk.

Today we’re riled about palm tree berries, Dutch people, foreign food, solo travel, The Rock, Fiji cab rides, luxury cars, and career advice. Arielle and Matt are continuing their unique and innovative segment, Fan Questions, leading them to talk about all things travel, geography, and career advice including serious advice from Matt and unusual but important advice from the most innocent girl in Hollywood. Arielle shares the story of her solo trip to Paris where she met up with a friend and cried over delicious food and Matt explores the different levels of scariness when it comes to traveling alone, starting with traveling as a baby and ending with traveling as a giant man. The two co-hosts also come up with a soon to be bestselling t-shirt based on a saying Arielle made up in response to those who don’t treat everyone with kindness. The episode ends as it does almost every week... Matt has to pee so we’ll see you next time!

Today we’re riled about clubbing, chess, sex positions, Matt’s innocence, church camp, juicy kisses, and once again, Dax Shepard. The co-hosts have recently discovered The Queen’s Gambit which takes place in an era where Arielle would have absolutely thrived, beating all the boys at golfing or pile driving. Matt and Arielle also dive into a unique and never before heard segment... fan questions. The questions lead into a detailed discussion about first kisses from church camp pecks to full on Frenching at Homecoming. Hopefully, Arielle can find those old love letters ASAP. Another fan question leads to a reveal of Arielle’s all-time favorite emo songs, including one that may or may not have been written about a chihuahua.

Today we’re riled about Dax Shepard, virgin homeschoolers, car pursuits, celebrity news, DJ Khaled, baby season, and this year’s Halloween costumes. It’s a chill episode on Riled Up as the two co-hosts are sitting down at night to chat about whatever topics come to mind. Matt and Arielle dive into what the heck is going on with “no fly zones” during car chases, whether or not they could ever get Julia Roberts to come on the podcast (it’s probably a no), and the top-ranking cartoons of all time. They’re also talking about their favorite memories including Matt’s throwback days with his best friend DJ and is it just us, or is time absolutely flying by? It seems like just yesterday that there was a car chase right outside Arielle’s old apartment building and Matt and Arielle ran into Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross at an event. Plus, Matt, Arielle, and Stinky end the pod to try a new TV show, something Arielle is typically opposed to, so we’ll let you know what they think!

Today we’re riled about decluttering, journals, iPhones, Stinky's poop, Moscow Mules, boy band lyrics, and Bieber’s acoustic version of “Holy.” This week really takes the podcast’s name of Riled Up to a whole new level as the cutie co-hosts dive into their underwhelming weekend getaway for Arielle’s birthday which involved sad craft cocktails and dirt water. On a lighter note, Arielle has finally discovered the magic that is BTS. Have you ever really listened to the lyrics of their hit song Dynamite? If not, you’re truly missing out. The hosts also do their best to master Bieber’s beautiful acoustic run and chat about embracing change by decluttering, frustrating iPhone updates, and Stinky’s obsession with Arielle.

Today we’re riled about geography, pop, birthday gifts, freeway signs, Drew House, trendsetters, and the biggest golf legends of our generation. Matt and Arielle are coming to you from the road as they make their way to a top-secret getaway weekend to celebrate Arielle’s special day (since she happened to be filming in Las Vegas during/on/for her actual birthday). They also happen to be recording on the spookiest of all days... no, not the election, Halloween! The cuties discuss their Halloween costumes and plans for this year, which may actually involve Matt going golfing with Justin Bieber (or at least a very convincing lookalike). The co-hosts chat about Arielle’s audition uniform, how mom jeans became the new cool thing, and why Arielle and Stinky ended up in two golf legends’ Instagram stories!

Arielle shares a few standout moments from her time opening for Whitney Cummings and explains to Matt what happens each month when women get “the period.” We also get some behind the scenes deets about Arielle’s run in with a stereotypical Karen during Stinky’s vet visit. Today we’re riled about birdies, rock hards, smashing nines, thankfulness, assault by pizza, Florida men, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. We already knew that Arielle could act, sing, and (kind of) dance, but the two cuties have recently discovered what might be her greatest career move yet: golfing. The co-hosts have been spending some time on the green and discuss if Arielle’s future may involve professional golfing and who they would want to “smash nines” with in an ideal world. Arielle also gives tips for decluttering your life – another new passion of hers – and shares with Matt a recent trick she learned that involves men in Florida and intense food fights. By the end of the episode, Arielle has officially won a million dollars after answering the easiest game show questions to ever exist. Special shoutout to Jason Kennedy from E! for helping her tackle one of the final questions. He may have cheated but at least he didn’t throw pizza at her. See you next week!

Arielle, AKA our second guest on the podcast, gives all the behind the scenes details of filming Love Island in Vegas including what it was like in the bubble, which couples she was rooting for, and what went down with the man in her ear. We also find out who Arielle was crushing on and why she’s not afraid to tell people they’re hot, even while at dinner with her fiancé (JK, kind of). Today we’re riled about great grandparents, unqualified doctor advice, caffeine, tattoos, Snapchat, sexy cars, and Post Malone. Arielle and Matt begin the episode by revealing what names they almost were given by their parents and what names they would choose for themselves now. We learn that in another world, you may very well be listening to Riled Up with Nikki and Jason. The co-hosts give some unqualified advice for the Rilers, talk about what tattoo Matt has wanted to get for a while, and reveal what happened when Arielle met Post Malone, the pancake of musicians (trust us). The cuties also discuss if Snapchat was in fact invented for people to send nudes, whether it was appropriate for Elon Musk to smoke weed on a podcast, and if Arielle is the next Britney – or at least Britney impersonator? See you next week!

Today we’re riled about Love Island, underboob sweat, Zion National Park, bush brothers, hot wolf nerds, grizzly bears, and small-town bars. While Arielle has been in a bubble filming Love Island in Las Vegas, Matt has been on an epic road trip with his friend Duck, making new friends, spying on wolves from afar, and just generally being a degenerate. He shares how he became friends with a follower who slid into his DMs and who got to know him on a deeper level than expected in just the couple of days they hung out. Arielle decides she wants to start a site to celebrate hot nerds who loves wolves and describes why a moment on set made her realize that we’re all just human. We will catch you next week with some exciting updates and in the meantime, remember to flush that quarantine bush before your new friends use your bathroom. Stay riled!

The co-hosts have been making some fantastic music lately, from Arielle’s song “I’m Full Naked” to their live duet of “Cutie, Don’t Choke on Carrots,” but you won’t believe your ears when you hear the debut of Arielle and Christine’s trance song, “Twilight Fanny Pack.” Arielle describes Taylor Lautner’s reaction upon hearing the work of a creative genius and shares why she was more into the young hot werewolf back in the day versus the hot older vampire. The cuties begin a game of 21 questions where they get into their ideal time travel scenarios, the foods they crave most often, who they would want to officiate their wedding, and which songs and cars get them the most riled.

Today we’re riled about Peeta Mellark, TV remotes, Along Came Polly, the cast of Friends, clubbing, music video props, and wolf tracking. Matt and Arielle recount a devastating Apple TV experience they had while trying to watch the final movie of The Hunger Game series and Mr. Apple, if you’re listening, please address this ASAP. After cracking a couple of White Claws last night, the cuties got to talking about their clubbing days which leads to an unbelievable story about Arielle’s fake ID. Matt gets riled about a possible wolf tracking trip he’s going to take while Arielle’s filming Love Island, but unfortunately Arielle gets distracted by fat wiener dogs as he’s sharing this incredible potential experience. Can you blame her? We also learn how Matt discovered his new favorite song at a gas station, how rappers get away with bricks of cocaine on camera, and which incredible actor did not make his debut in an Adam Sandler movie.

The co-hosts roleplay how Arielle would handle a situation in which their 18-year-old daughter (aka Matt) decides to get botox and fillers because that’s what a girl has to do to keep up in Hollywood. The cuties go over the recent Emmy nominations for Comedy and Drama categories and decide who the award would go to if they were Mr. and Mrs. Emmy themselves. Today we’re riled about Snow White, lighthouses, the word atrocious, valet responsibility, nicknames, aliens, and Emo’s Not Dead coffee. The two cuties are understandably distracted by Guy Fieri on the TV as they podcast and end up deciding that a) Guy has a certain cuteness in his face, b) he may be cousins with Joey Fatone, and c) it would be so incredibly difficult to be a chef! Arielle comes to the realization that it’s actually really easy for people to cheat on one another with all the apps out there and now she has Matt wondering what exactly goes down on taco Tuesdays with the “girls.” The co-hosts also decide what storefronts they would want to open if they had that Leonardo DiCaprio money, and Arielle realizes she has a new passion in life: valet responsibility. Plus, we dive into why aliens have been coming down to Earth (hint: Starbucks), why Matt could end up moving to Mexico, and why Arielle might get cancelled.

It’s a very special episode of Riled Up because not only are Matt and Arielle podcasting, they’re also going live on Instagram! They’re giving their best advice when it comes to relationships, friendships, and even taking care of your dog (right, Arielle??). We’re riled about female golfers, movie voiceovers, plastic surgery, friends named Lauren, 90 Day Fiancé, and the perfect divorce. Arielle has been spending more time in the pool than ever before (she’s tan AF) so understandably, the co-hosts create a new movie trailer about Arielle aka “swim girl.” Matt, on the other hand, is getting very riled about hot women who golf, reconstructive face surgery, and why he’s into dating apps. The two cuties describe what it’s been like making friends as they get older (#nonewfriends) and explore how they would (theoretically) tell someone they’re dating that their breath is bad (#meh). A game of rapid-fire questions leads to a story about Arielle on the floor of a florist shop and Matt coming up with his ideal divorce scenario.

We’re riled about sour ale, the year 2020, turkey vultures, Kim Kardashian, coffee, cancelling plans, meeting new people, and the best songs of all time. Matt and Arielle continue their new favorite segment (now titled “Guess That Song Just by Hearing the Lyrics”) and Arielle determines which song she wants to play each time she enters a room (hint: it’s by a possible future president). The co-hosts talk about why you should always be able to cancel plans with true friends, Arielle’s potential future birthday plans, and what popular song name Matt always gets just slightly wrong. Also, we find out which song on the "top songs of all time" list truly makes Matt sad and why Rolling Stone Magazine is 100% biased.

Matt and Arielle talk about whether they would ever move outside of LA, who they would want to trade places with, and whose mind they’d want access to for a day. The co-hosts have been receiving more packages than ever before and while they’re typically for Arielle, Matt had a very special package of his own arrive and we hear why he's so excited to use its contents. Arielle talks about who she thinks is hot other than her number one hall pass, Justin Bieber, and Matt asks a question that probably should never have been asked: did our grandparents give BJs?
