Submit ReviewIn this episode, Ryan and Brett delve into the Seattle Kraken's unpredictable season. Reflecting on the team's peculiar consistency, they seem to alternate between moments of brilliance and severe collapses, which ultimately erodes their confidence. There is a strong emphasis on the need for accountability among players, particularly the younger members of the team, to step up and take on leadership roles.
The duo discusses the recent struggles of the Kraken, particularly during their latest road trip, expressing disappointment about their playoff chances yet remaining optimistic about the potential for younger players like Maddie Beniers to shine. They explore the philosophy that “shooting the puck” leads to positive outcomes and the importance of creating high-quality scoring chances.
Finally, the episode humorously suggests holding a “Kraken Intervention” for the team, highlighting the passionate fan support that remains steadfast, regardless of the challenges faced. It is a hopeful reminder that fans will continue to rally behind the Kraken, urging them to set a stronger tone going forward. #GoKraken
The episode features hosts Brett and Ryan discussing the current struggles of the Seattle Kraken as they reflect on their performance and expectations midway through the season. Brett thinks the Kraken are in a "full-blown tailspin", Ryan thinks there is a lack of cohesion among players, with some wanting to play aggressively while others favor a more cautious approach. Both hosts agree that the key players need to step up, and Yanni Gourde echoed this sentiment, indicating that more emotional engagement and passion are necessary on the ice. Kraken need to get back to fundamentals and win some games on the road! #GOKRAKEN
Don't look now but the Kraken are playing pretty well! Can they keep it up?! Whats the difference between 6th and 1st place and can the team stay motivated with Jordan down? The Release The Show team is wishing you a happy and healthy holiday! Go Kraken!!
The Kraken are in a rough patch but Chris is back on the show (kinda) to make all of our woes feel better (kinda)! Go Kraken!
In this episode, Brett and Ryan have a conversation covering various topics, starting with a playful discussion about hanging a logo on the wall and the challenges of displaying it. They then talk about Ryan's sudden excitement during the pre-show and joke about Austin Powers references, which not everyone in the group fully understands. The hosts move on to discussing hockey, focusing on the Seattle Kraken’s recent games against the Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, and Colorado Avalanche. They analyze the Kraken's performance, satisfied with their two wins and the close loss to the Avalanche.
The group discusses the concept of "response goals" in hockey, emphasizing their importance and jokingly proposing a reverse strategy of letting the opposing team score first to motivate comebacks. They reference beer league hockey and joke about unconventional sports strategies, all while keeping the conversation light and filled with banter. Toward the end, they reference the movie Seabiscuit to draw a parallel between holding back in competition and achieving a comeback victory.
Lets Go Kraken!!
Hosts Brett and Ryan Wetstein analyze the Seattle Kraken's mixed start to the season, currently holding a 2-2 record after four games. They reflect on the home opener's atmosphere, noting a lack of pre-game excitement due to the unusual afternoon timing. Ryan is disappointed with the team's performance compared to the promotional hype, drawing parallels with the Mariners and Seahawks. Hopefully the Kraken can get some bonding on the road.
They discuss assistant coach Jessica Campbell's significant role in strategic planning and in-game adjustments, particularly praising her impact on the forwards' development. They give flowers to Captain Jordan Eberle. He's a natural fit as captain!
We're excited for the team's potential and the energy at home games and won't stand for mediocrity. And what's with the Davy Jones hat moving to a new, motivational belt?! The team's identity should stem from hard work and performance rather than gimmicks, we need team spirit and accountability for a successful season!
Lets go Kraken!!
The day has come for Coach Hack to find another team and Brett, Ryan and Chris are ... actually kinda sad about it. We play a bit of our favorite game, Should They Stay or Should They Go? What kind of coach do you want to see next, and most of all, make Matty B earn his spot! Go Kraken!
It's a full Hockey show, the entire time... for real! Is there a curse of the Coyotes? Chris is back to predicting scores, Ryan wants us to keep an eye on Shane Wright, and Brett just wants to talk Mariners. Go Kraken!
Don't look now but we think the "I-5-alry" might be happening! Plus, who was your favorite 90's Seattle Weather man? We also chat about Teoscar Hernandez... wait, is this a Hockey show? The Kraken are doing well but we still find something to yell about (it's the Davy Jones hat!) We cheer for McCann and we want more lasagna for Matty B! Go Kraken!
On this episode, it's not a question anymore. We suck. We go through the season so far and try to figure out the difference from when we were winning and, well... now. The players are mad and the team seems divided. Maybe a naming Captain would help them? Plus, can we get a little excitement from the crowd? Let's see some energy all around! Go Kraken!!
What can the Kraken do to stop the Kings? Matty B needs to use the break to get some of his Mom's lasagna. Plus we're playing a quick round of Should They Stay Or Should They Go. Plus, there's nothing worse than when someone isn't calling you back.. but thats just the therapy section of the show. We need constancy, no more streaking. Go Kraken!!
The Kraken are on a cold streak, what was happening during the winning streak thats not happening now? And for that matter, why are the Kraken so streaky? We call out Matty B and Brett calls for Coach Hack to pack! Plus are hockey players really all that tough or are they too busy listening to Country music like Ryan and Chris? Looking for the bright side? There's only 4 more games until the Allstar break! Go Kraken!
The Kraken lost the streak, but they're having fun! We're playing banged up but we get a chance to start antlers win streak. Ryan has love for Dunn, Brett's into Gourde and Chris is Bjorkstrand-ing it. Plus a reenactment of what it was like when Hakstol "surprised" Bjorkstrand with the All Star news, what's your Uber rating, and can you catsup on a corndog? Go Kraken!!
The Kraken are on a hot streak, we revel in the Winter Classic glory and we exchange Gretzky stories. Plus, some Should I Stay Or Should I Go, and who do we need to sign to save the rest of the season?? Go Kraken!!
In this pre-recorded episode. Chris, Ryan and Brett take whipped cream shots and discuss how relieved (most of us are, anyway) that Chris gets to keep his clothes on. Plus, our wish for the Kraken as a whole. Mostly we just miss Daniel Sprong. Happy Holidays and Go Kraken!
Some good hockey from our Kraken team lately! We share our excitement for the newest member of The Kraken who we're calling "The Dip". Little Chris gets to keep his cloths on because the Kraken finally stared winning! Plus, how far do you think you could yeet a fish?? Go Kraken!!
We suck and we’re her to talk about it, and We’re drinking our sorrows. We’re 2 away from Chris having to polar plunge!! That might be the only silver lining we have. We read some rants. What happened to Matty B?? Tanniv has a horrible stat line. Brett calls a family meeting about Gru. We’re calling for line brawls and goalie fights! Go Kraken!
Our dudes, Brett and Ryan talk hockey, but we're back to discussing uniforms as our only bright spot. We read some rants, we have some major rants about the Mariners and try our best to stay positive. Go Kraken!
Since last we talked, the Kraken have been playing hockey... good hockey! We got ahold of the I-5-alry (read: rivalry). We play in overtime 50% of the time but we're scrappy and not giving up! We've got some must win games coming up, but the trade deadline is approaching and help could be on the way. Go Kraken!!
On this episode, Kraken color commentator Al Kinisky commiserates with Brett and Chris. What changed in the off season? Do we actually suck? Al makes us feel better and we continue the conversation about captions. Maybe you don't need one on a Hockey team? Regardless, we need our dudes to band together and become a family again. Go Kraken!!
Our guest Chet Buchanan joins the show to remind us that the Kraken had a slow start last year as well and Bright Side Brett is happy we closed the road trip with a W. Plus, Chris thinks the Seahawk throwback jerseys are sick, Chet earns the nickname "The Executioner" and teases what we can expect from the winter classic. Go Kraken!!
The Kraken are in need of some inspiration. We're calling out players and trying to come up with some solutions before a road trip with some pretty strong teams. Plus, we want to see Coach Little Finger start doing some Little Finger things! Ryan's got a new mic, Brett's ranting and Chris backs it all up with the stats which... aren't alllll bad? Go Kraken!!
Brett, Chris and Ryan are joined by Jonny Lazarus from the Blue Crew Podcast. Whats the minimum number of Power Play goals per game? Are the Avalanche the Kraken's biggest rival? And we break the streak by making some bets! Go Kraken!
Release The Show is back, your Kraken are back and we're off to a hot start!! Ryan broke his leg on skates, Chris wants us to know the stats (thats 0 wins, 0 losses - off to a good start!) and Brett still hates the Vegas Golden Knights! Happy Hockey Season, everybody!
50% of the time, we’re having a good season. We’re hanging out superlatives, who do we think was MVP?
Kanga Gruu! Is Little Finger still Little Fingering? and this is a Kartye Party!
Major apologies for the late post - Producer Katie
The Kraken are still in it!! The Link is MISSING, and Katie is back to step in for him. Avs fans are converting to Kraken fans all over the place, Brett doesn't want to hear Boston crying and Chris has the numbers and things the next series can be very "nice". Go Kraken!!!
In true RTS fashion, Brett, Chris and Ryan kick off the show attempting to talk hockey by...NOT talking hockey...but end up talking hockey anyway, because...SEATTLE IS FINALLY A HOCKEY TOWN! Right? And Cale Makar is clearly dirty and the new enemy #1! Right? And our guy Jordan "Dan" Eberle is the current Kraken G.O.A.T! Right? And his game-winning goal is a Top 5 Seattle sports moment! Right??? Man oh man...lots for the fellas to discuss after that amazing O.T. win, baby!
In honor of the playoffs, Brett, Chris, & Ryan (or is it Ryan, Brett, Chris??) break unprecedented ground and finally record an episode...IN PERSON! In the Apartment Studio. Of Producer Katie. And all her stuff. When she's not there. But the guys thankfully stay out of trouble (maybe), Ryan smells terrific, Chris is an AI, and they are definitely pumped over the Kraken's first playoff win in franchise history. Plus, they are joined by a legend--a Spittin Chiclets legend!--in Matt Murley. Murls breaks down the Kraken's win and the betting lines (you're welcome), all while ignoring The Great One, Wayne Gretzy. Ballsy.
Fusilli? Penne? Either way, we're celebrating! Link is in Vegas, and the Kraken are in the playoffs! We're keeping an eye on our goaltenders, giving props to Dan and McCann and Ryan's beer league team is in the championship round. Go Kraken!
Chris and Ryan “The Missing Link” hold it down guerilla-style without “Big Timers,” Brett & Katie, and all the usual bells and whistles. The candid convo ranges from the excitement (or not) of the impending playoffs to shirtless (or not) champagne showers…to Matty F-N Beniers and voting for the Kraken team MVP this season. The Link also gets choked up! So check it out!
Brett's got a big time Hollywood meeting to go to, Chris has the numbers and Ryan's in the Playoffs. Plus, lets get Katie a date with Vince Dunn. Go Kraken!!
The Kraken already knew they were making the playoffs and they've stepped off the gas. What is the mysterious illness that 'Lip has? and we do our best to not talk hockey with our very special guest Geoff Baker. Go Kraken!!
On this episode we're not talking hockey. the Kraken are on a steak! Plus, a beer league hockey update and some rants! Go Kraken!!
A hard episode to start since we've been on a bit of a downturn. Who do we turn to? What the hell? Brett is looking for who to blame, who needs to stay and who needs to go? and Katie is reading rants! Go Kraken!!
What's the name of the theme park that used to be under the Space Needle? This team is playing a bit of a roller coaster with our hearts! What happened? And, is it a sweater or is it a jersey?? Go Kraken!!
Brett, Chris and The Link break down this week's loss over the Islanders and preview the New Jersey game! Plus, should they stay or should they go and some of our favorite Rants from the week! Go Kraken!!
The Kraken finally beat Vancouver and we can officially call it a rivalry. They didn't just beat them, we demolished! Matty B got a cheap shot crack in the ear - we put it on trial. The crowd chanted "Bruce, there it is" at the other team's coach and none of us has ever seen a coach so disappointed in their own team. Their loss, our absolute win! Go Kraken!
The Kraken love being on the road and just came back from a huge winning streak! Unfortunately, they've broken that streak by the time we are recording this episode. Do the Kraken need a star/Name player or are we just as good as the sum of our parts? Katie has been using Ai to write her emails, and Chris performs a dramatic reading, plus, an update on the Missing Link's Beer League! Go Kraken!!
Chris is back with more Berry White impressions, Matty "Baby Face" Breners isn't old enough to drink, but he's more of a man than all of us! It looks like Jones is our guy and it seems like Coach Littlefinger is the Coach Of The Year?! Go Kraken!!
The best NHL DJ around joins the show to talk music and his career fandom. Plus, Chris and Brett got exclusive access at the Kraken game last week AND met the youngest RTS fan, Jack! Plus, can Matty B reach the levels of McDavid? And the Grubauer vs. Jones debate - call him Lip again, our silly nicknames work!! Go Kraken!
The littlest member of RTS kicks off the show! Brett isn't allowed to guarantee anything anymore. Plus, we're going to the game tonight, look for the RTS crew at Climate Pledge! Go Kraken!!
The Kraken are on a heater and just played their best game of the franchise! Brett is making guarantees (not predictions). Whats the best goal of the year? Who's the MVP of this year? and honestly? The guys talk so much hockey this episode, we're not sure this is even the right show! Go Kraken!!!
If Matty B is getting into fights, does he get a new nickname? Was the Big Rig's suspension fair or foul? and Brett has a Beef! Fans need to stay in their seats! Go Kraken!!
First off, Brett and the Take 12 Podcast are hosting a Toy Drive at the Weienershnitzl in Fife this Monday - we are donating toys to Treehouse For Kids!
Chris, Brett and The Link are going to talk hockey, don't worry, there's hockey talk!! Why did the Canadians out shoot us 2 to 1? We'er placing bets on who the highest score-er is going to be. And, what should Shane Wright's nickname be? Go Kraken!!
Matty Beniers, analytics, buoy backing, and more in this action-packed episode amidst a 5-game winning streak for our Kraken!

Katie & Ryan talk Kraken high spirits, what we've got to do against Philly and mini magnet schedules. Go Kraken!
In this Episode Brett and Ryan aka "The Missing Link" are joined by Matt Cleeton, the head coach of your Washington Huskies Hockey Team. Although the start to the season has been rocky for the Kraken, the team's had glimpses of greatness on the ice. The team looks to play consistent, and our heads are held high. GO KRAKEN!
Season 2 is upon us and The Kraken look better than ever! The RTS crew is down a team member and on this episode Dave Tomlinson fills in to give his expert perspective on how our guys are looking so far. (Hint: we look freaking great!) The RTS crew is down a member, and on today's episode Dave Tomlinson joins the show to give his professional perspective on how the team is looking as we start the season. The first inaugural season is officially over! We reminisce about our favorite moments, and make plans for next season! ...Go Kraken!!

The guys bask in the glow of a Kraken victory, talk about the greatness of Morgan Geeke and play real creature or fake monster.
Actual *professional Host, Strawberry joins the big-big show! The guys react to the Will/Chris Oscars slap. Chris hosts a game - Hockey Heavy Petting - bonus points for personal celebrity stories! Plus, the RTS crew was in the house for both games in Los Angeles, Producer Katie keeps her good luck streak alive and we preview the upcoming Golden Knights games.
A recap of Brett's Birthday party last weekend, the RTS crew was in the house for the Red Wings Win last weekend (before they traded away the whole team), and an octopus got caught in the net! ...Go Kraken!
00:18 – GIZMO IS BACK. And is pumped to return to RTS, even after seeing the old photo on Brett’s background from when Nick got roughed up by his close friend and LA King’s star, Anze Kopitar. The fellas can’t quite tell if Gizmo is crying because of the nostalgia of being laid out by his buddy or because he just finished watching Armageddon in his hotel room....probably a good time to RELEASE THE SHOW!
5:33 – Sponsor time!! Go on and do yourself a favor and head over toSimplySeattle.com – spend $30 bucks on gear and get a ticket to Mariners Opening Day. Mariners. Opening. Day. Need we say more. Ok, we will. Even Chris is reppin' some Simply Seattle Mariners gear, like he’s trying out for Simply Seattle’s Next Top Model, and he’s only like 5ft tall! Aw, so cute…
7:00 - Before the fellas dive into the Kraken's flurry of moves at the trade deadline, they get Nick’s impressions of how the deadline played out across the NHL: what moves did he like? Were there any that left him scratching his head? And, trust us, Gizmo’s impressions are spot on.
9:40 – So, what about us?! No, not RTS…the Kraken! Did the organization ace the trade deadline?? Well, according to the one and only, Gizmo…he LOVED what the Kraken did at the trade deadline and shares why, including some of his favorite moves that GM Ron Francis pulled off and how RF plans to use his spoils.
16:00 – Gizmo, like always, is dropping knowledge on RTS and educating us and our listeners. Well, you know what…Davis Law Group does the exact same thing and educates everyone in the Washington area, as the #1 personal injury attorneys. Call them for free to know your personal injury rights. Oh, and their really cool, too.
17:03 – Now, that all of the madness of the trade deadline has been covered, the convo shifts to the remainder of the season and how to evaluate what we’re left with, and Gizmo doesn’t skip a beat, pontificating on what he’s looking for, what he expects, and even what the team needs this summer in free agency and the draft. Well, the next 3 drafts! (Cough) Connor Bedard in 2023 (Cough). #CrashforConnor?
23:22 - Now that Chris’ dear Gio is gone, it begs the question – who is going to wear the 'C' for the Kraken?? Will it be The Salmon McCannon? Will it be Dan? How bout Yanni?! Gizmo and the guys discuss.
26:10 – Kevin saves the toughest question for last: WHEN will “The Skoi Wonder” drop happen from Gizmo on the air?! The answer might surprise you... But it also might not.
Chris makes it onto the leaderboard, we have an update on if our nicknames are affecting the team (hint: they are), we debate what is the best tournament in sports, and Brett is a lawyer?
Seattle's boot fashion icon and in arena host Angelica returns to gush about Davy, she reveals what was in the boot and she releases the show! Hey, Hey Whadda Ya Say the Kraken had a win vs the Montreal Canadiens. Which nickname could should we trade? There's too many tribute videos these days! and Chris needs your love in the DM's! Go Kraken!
Brett's birthday is coming up and we're celebrating with a pre-game party at the Queen Anne Beer Hall this Saturday at 4:00 "See Ya!" there!
(:20) - Denver Bronco’s Quarterback, Russell Wilson—wait, whaaaatttt? Whoa, that sounds weird…but it’s not a dream. The guys dive in and discuss the blockbuster trade of Russell Wilson, and it inspires Brett to launch into an impromptu Russell-themed version of American Pie. Could this song make it on the final track list for the RTS Kraken Day Album?? Hopefully, Simon Cowell listens in and lets us know!
(3:00) - New sponsor alert!! Ian from Davis Law Group, RTS’ newest sponsor, joins the show and chats it up with the fellas about the firm’s love for the Kraken, RTS, and helping people. They are focused on educating the public on their rights and want people to be able to make an informed decision when hiring a lawyer. And, apparently, it's more than what we see on Law & Order (who would have thought?!)…but—RELEASE THE SHOW.
(9:41) - The show kicks off with more RW3 talk, as our friends over at SimplySeattle.com are paying homage to the future Hall of Famer with “Thanks for the Memories” T-Shirts that benefit Seattle Children's hospital — Russ’ second home, of sorts, where he spent so much time every week…for 10 years. He will be missed.
(12:50) HT#1 - Kraken Day was a roaring success in every way: 1) Our event at the Queen Anne Beerhall raised $1K for Youth Hockey Assist (thanks to you all and the team at The Hall!)! 2) The Kraken snapped an excruciating 7-game losing streak ON Kraken Day!! And 3) Nobody had to see Chris naked!!! What a day…what a day!
(18:55) HT#2 - Austin Czarnik is no longer a Kraken. Oh wait - you didn’t know he was a Kraken? That’s because he’s been living on the waiver wire! Put on waivers by NYI. Claimed by the Kraken. Put on waivers by the Kraken. Claimed by NYI. What the heck is going on with this waiver wire stuff?! Brett thinks it’s probably a frequent flyer miles conspiracy…while Hot for Teacher Kevin teaches a different angle in his Hockey 101 Class.
(27:15) HT#3 - Waivers, trades, signings…it’s time for a little Kraken News & Notes! The Salmon McCannon is locked up for 5 more years, and WE ARE HERE FOR IT!!! But where we split is on Chris’ BFF, Mark Giordano. Should he stay or should he GiO??? Only time will tell, but the guys agree on a compromise proposal that sends Gio to Colorado in return for Russell Wilson coming back to Seattle—whether that be on the ice or the field.
The guys fantasize about current NHL Players and which ones they want to see join the Kraken.
00:52 - Brett opens the show and peals back the curtain!
01:23 - Since we know that people come to RTS for “all the info,” Brett shares a few things that people don't know..."facts" about things like Wordle, Catch Me If You Can, TikTok (gov. spy app?), and Chris wonders if there is a government conspiracy against our beloved Kraken? And the truth is—RELEASE THE SHOW!
3:30 - Chris blows another shot to Release the Show, and it begs the question: will he ever do it again?! He practiced on other episodes but just couldn't "come through in the clutch" this time. Our listeners always come through in the clutch, though, so please keep those emails coming, as we all commiserate over the Kraken losing streak—we’re in this together!
5:52 - HT#1 - It's a 7-game losing streak. The second one this season. Ouch. But, are we encouraged by the recent showings against Boston and San Jose? Brett and Kevin certainly seem to be optimistic and pulling pages from the "silver-linings playbook”…but it doesn’t stop Brett from picking another fight with Vegas and its fanbase. Chris isn’t sold, and the fellas wonder if the show needs to do something about the losing streak? Somehow, Chris skinny-dipping in Greenlake, if they reach a 10-game losing streak, emerges as the solution. Tough to know what to root for, in this scenario!
19:31 - HT#2 - Happy Kraken Day!!! Brett jumps in to rave about how great Kraken Day was at the Queen Anne Beer Hall as well as for the team! Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Queen Anne Beerhall to celebrate and raise money for a great charity, Youth Hockey Assist. Big shoutout to Chainline Brewing who allowed us to rename one of their beers just for the day, and an even bigger shoutout to the RTS listeners for all the support.
30:57 - HT#3 - Is it time to look to the future and talk about next season’s NHL Draft Lottery? Right now, we're the 3rd worst team in the NHL, so...that means we have the 3rd best odds to get the first overall pick! For listeners newer to hockey, Kevin explains how the NHL lottery works, and the guys discuss a few prospects the team might be interested in and whether we should root for draft position.
We officially put our Free Agents on trial!
This segment is brought to you by the Davis Law Group. If you need information or help from an attorney, use the best! Go to WashingtonAccidentBooks.com and let them know you heard about them from Release The Show.
(:30) Where ya at?! The fellas want YOU to reach out...via Twitter, email, or future-state, certified mail, and it’s got Brett fired up. In fact, he’s already fully stretched out and ready to roll! But get this – no stretchy bestie yet! Enter Chris, who shoots his shot and delivers his pitch to be Brett’s stretchy bestie (which, apparently, is all about the hamstrings—other people's…not his own).
(3:20) It worked! We're getting emails via the RTS gmail account, right into the old email inbox! That is what it’s called, right? Anyhoo, shout out to listener Emmet, who asked if RTS has a merch store! Short (but big) answer, YES! Head to our bio in any social media and check out ALL the great RTS merch available. “The Skoi Wonder” tee, anyone???
(4:23) HT1 - Our beloved Kraken have seemingly mastered the art of…the losing streak. It’s happened yet again this season, and even worse, they find themselves 0-3 vs the Canucks. The Canucks! Our projected, hopeful, vaunted rival! Well, it’s pretty hard to get a rivalry going with inconsistent play, letting up early goals, and ZERO WINS. Is Coach Hak on the Hot Seat?! Will he make it past this season?? The guys decide to put Hak on trial. (Can they get a sponsor for this segment in the future? They aren't above asking). Brett jumps in as the prosecutor, and Kevin takes the defense...while Chris apparently takes the…bailiff? Needless to say, it’s a bit mad in this courtroom.
(18:10) HT2 - Happy early Kraken Day! (3/2) The momentous, inaugural Kraken Day is almost upon us, and there’s only ONE place to be for it…the Queen Anne Beerhall!!! Sing your favorite Kraken Day songs and get ready to celebrate and throw back a cold one. Or two. But not just any cold one. A Chainline Brewing cold one. Chainline Brewing is collaborating with RTS on a beer promo to raise money for Youth Hockey Assist. So, c’mon…drink a beer with RTS and give to a good cause at the same time. No better way to spend Kraken Day!
(22:33) HT3 - It's a courtroom theme today! Yep, you know what’s coming…it's time for “Law Firm or Line Combo.” Brett and Chris come into this match up tied on the season series, 1-1. Dare we say…this is what an ACTUAL rivalry looks like....Seattle! Who will win and take the series lead? Who cares?! Play against them at home and crush them!
We've still got a couple more T-Shirts to hand out and the email box is getting cluttered, and we need to talk about Kevin.
(:10) Brett shares his pre-show snack of champions — hard marshmallows! (aka Lucky Charms). But despite them being Unicorns, he feels they’re overrated. So, what breakfast cereal is NOT overrated?? The guys discuss and surprisingly come to a consensus that—RELEASE THE SHOW!!!
(2:30) Kevin kicks off the show with his usual gusto, and Brett interrupts in kind, wanting more emails from the listeners at ReleaseTheShow@gmail.com and teasing an upcoming episode, where the fellas are going to clean out the inbox. Kevin jumps back in with a shout out to RTS sponsor, Simple Seattle, which has anything you’re into! (Chris raises his eyebrow…)
(4:40) Before the guys get to the hockey, they gotta close the door on football and debrief the Super Bowl right quick. Bengals-Fan-For-A-Day, Brett, is fuming with the victorious LA Story, but especially because LA wasn’t even into its own story!! Just check the regionalized TV ratings receipts. The real winners were those who bet on the crazy prop bets — babies, astronauts, Eminem’s hair, anthem times. Did any of y’all win?!
(10:25) - BETONLINE PROMO
(12:19) HT1 - Kevin and Brett come hard out of the Hat Trick gates straight at Chris for coming up short with his guaranteed win vs the Coyotes. Should he get another shot? Is punishment warranted? The guys want your help — let us know what punishment, if any, should be handed down? Banishment? Go a round with the Big Rig?? Speaking of which, what a fight! No Nickname Ryan jumps in here to talk the ins and outs of hockey fighting.
(18:10) HT2 - Brett nails his predictions from last week with the Kraken going 1-2…but should he celebrate that? It’s a bittersweet victory, to be sure, as we just want to see wins! Perhaps RTS should STOP all predictions going forward? What would start them again, though? Are we jinxing them? Does superstition play a role in hockey?
(21:22) - NORD VPN PROMO
(22:15) Kraken Day, Kraken Day, Kraken Day!!! Mark the calendars: March 3rd, 3/2, against the Nashville Predators. Come celebrate at RTS’ second home, the Queen Anne Beer Hall! Drink a beer (or two) and, just by doing so, donate money to a good cause! And besides, it's KRAKEN DAY!!! Yep, it's officially a thing. See you there.
(24:02) HT3 - Rounding out the Hat Trick is the recent Kraken Skills Challenge! Such a fun event, with the hardest shot, the breakaway challenge, and Davy Jones dropping the puck. Is the the bonding experience that the team needed to bring some more cohesion and consistency? Don’t ask Chris. He wasn’t there. And didn’t know about it. And he lives down the street. And is salty.
Prop bets on betonline.ag, the guys predict the scores from Sunday's final NFL game, and Brett's mustache is back!
(:30) Brett’s gotta get something off his chest: his son is playing little league baseball, and it’s just not the same as when he was a kid…..it’s BOUGIE! No more big black duffle bag, busting at the seams, full of community gear – nope, he has to buy EVERYTHING for his kid! Ouch…we wish your pocketbook well, Brett – may it last a full season! And may our Twitter contest have winners—but first…RELEASE THE SHOW!
(2:51) The show gets off to a late start, literally, as the guys get lost in the sweet sounds of friend of the show, B-Boy Fidget. “What’s Crackin? What’s Crackin? We Kraken, We Kraken…” Oh, sorry, it almost happened again! Anyway, that Twitter giveaway isn’t much of a giveaway because…we can’t give the stuff away!! People apparently just don’t want free Davy Jones T-Shirts like they used to. Intern Brian the GOAT wants to give away 5 Davy T’s, and we can’t figure out why no one wants to make the GOAT happy?! Hit us up!
(4:49) HT1 – What do Dan, fans, and John Hamm have in common? Macarons! Wait, no, that comes later. All-Star Weekend!!! That’s right – it was the Kraken’s first NHL All-Star Weekend, and our boy, Dan, was out there representing. And so was our boy, Brett, on Twitter, reminding everyone our boy’s name is…DAN. And apparently STILL trying to remind John Hamm that it’s macarons…not macaroons. Or is it the other way around? Who knows! And who knows why the judges chose Pietrangelo as the Breakaway Challenge winner, when you had Trevor Zegras’ out there Average Joe’in it up blindfolded! Kevin knows. Two words: Fan Voting. Maybe the fans should vote on Brett & Jon Hamm’s beef?
(9:30) HT2 – He did it folks! He FINALLY DID IT!! The Skoi Wonder has emerged with his cape and put one in the back of the net! And he’s not gonna look back! (Right??) It only took RTS creating a fire nickname and fire T-Shirt to make it happen…AGAIN (cough) DAN! (cough). Give us some credit, Gismo!!! Nonetheless, we will all remember where we were at that very moment. For Chris, it involved cognac and smile; for you, it was ___________ (that’s where you hit us up and fill in the blank!)
(12:16) HT3 – Can we? Do we? SHOULD we? Get back to predictions??! Slippery slope, RTS friends…slippery slope. To be fair, the Kraken are playing better, but the fellas are nervous about making predictions again and promise to quit altogether, if there’s a clear jinx factor at play here. In the end, Brett is a bit more pessimistic than Kevin and Chris, as he goes 1-2, while his two co-hosts go 2-1. But NOBODY wants to go “full prediction.” You never go “full prediction.”
18:25 – Wait, before you go! Brett has a few more words for John Hamm on the way out the door! SEE YA!
On this, not real episode of the show, we pick real winners for our Davy Jones Simply Seattle T-Shirt contest. Just remember that this episode is really, not real. Like for real, its not a real episode... at all. For Real.
(:05) Hold on…let us get this straight: people win cool free stuff…but then same people don’t want cool free stuff that they won…for free?? C’mon RTS Twitter folk! Now, we gotta employ the BLEEP, because BLEEP and BLEEP and BLEEP didn’t want Davy Jones gear. Sad state of affairs…but thankfully, it’s Kraken Day soon! What are y’all doing? The guys are mulling a Secret Santa exchange and gifting each other onesie pajamas. Yeah, probably time to get to the show.
(2:36) Brettonius Interruptus (Brett’s scientific name) does what he does best and interrupts Kevin’s intro with more stern words for BLEEP and BLEEP and BLEEP from our failed Davy Jones T-Shirt giveaway but with the brilliant idea of potentially…picking NEW WINNERS?! BLEEP and BLEEP better act fast!
(4:15) KHT#1 – The Kraken rollercoaster rides on! Exciting first OT win against the Pens…straight to tough, last-second loss to the Rangers. But WAIT! Is it a conspiracy? Did the refs purposefully turn a blind eye to an obvious interference call? Are we just the new kid(s) on the block?? Is it an inside job??! Or is it simply Intern Brian’s fault? We think you know.
(8:38) KHT#2 – We certainly know whose fault it ISN’T…The Salmon McCannon! The guy is just a machine. Yes, we know – that’s what the “cannon” part implies already, but seriously, the Salmon McCannon is undoubtedly making a case for himself as the Kraken’s best player. Should that bring about an argument as to which Kraken player should be headed to the All-Star Game?? Listen for yourself. You might get your answer…and some Barry White (compliments of Chris).
(15:10) KHT#3 – RTS fan favorite, LAW FIRM OR LINE COMBO, is back! That’s right, baby! Chris and Brett go head to head once again and attempt to show off their hockey player / big whig attorney knowledge (or lack thereof), only this time wielding completely opposite strategies. In the end, one of them gets salty about the ever-changing rules, while one of them gets the victory...and we ALL get the most challenging live read the show has ever had. Thanks, Brett! Now, cue the Barry White again…
This time Brett welcomes loyal listener, and worst guest of all time, Strawberry, to the RTS family living room. Not only is Strawberry the voice of Kube 93.3 in the morning, he is also one of your in house, Climate Pledge Arena hosts with the mosts! First time long time!
(00:05) Just when you think you know someone…they go and get a mustache. And it’s ah-maziiiing! Yep, it’s a big day at RTS, as the guys welcome their first mustache to the show. Is it just a phase? Or here to stay? You’ll have to ask Brett…but it might hinge more on your Kraken…
(2:22) A show can’t be a show without a welcome and a shout out to the best sponsor around — Simply Seattle! Now, don’t make us tell you again to head on over to SimplySeattle.com to see the freshest Kraken gear, including the new Davy Jones T-Shirts and restocked $25 dollar hoodies. Oh BTW, RTS10 gets you 10% off. You’re welcome ;)
(3:03) Speaking of those new Davy Jones T-Shirts, Intern Brian the GOAT set up a fun fan contest on Twitter and RTS listeners came in clutch, just like they always do! Brett sets the scene for the end of the show, where 5 lucky listeners will win a free Davy Jones Shirt because of their active Twitter fingers.
(3:57) KHT1 - We’re winning again! We’re winning again! 3-2 in our last 5 games, to be exact, including sexy season series sweeps (say that 5 times fast!) against the Sharks and Panthers (our show’s original nemesis). What changed? Is it Davy? Is it Gruby? Sorry—we mean, Lip. The guys dive in and rap about the team’s recent play, and that can only mean 1 thing: Danger Zone Drops.
(11:33) KHT2 - Most NHL teams have a team dog—oh, you didn’t know that? It’s ok, neither did Chris. But it’s true, and Seattle joins the club with the bestest boy ever, Davy Jones! The fellas discuss the new team pup and the credit he has received for the team’s recent good play. But how does Davy stack up against the other team dogs?? Unbiased discussion clearly ensures.
(16:11) KHT3 - Oh, isn’t that so cute…RTS is all growed up…we have Press access now! Via No Nickname Ryan, who comes on the show to chop it up about Press Conferences, morning skates, almost calling Dan…Dan, and T-Shirt Cannons?? Plus, he’s down to ask YOUR questions, so tweet the show with questions you have, and we’ll have #RyanAsk.
(20:36) IT’s TIIIIMMME!! 5 lucky listeners get to hear their names called as lucky winners of the new Simply Seattle Davy Jones T-Shirts, all thanks to RTS! Did you win? Well, you gotta listen to find out. And yes, we used an actual hat this time. Congrats to the winners! Wear ‘em with pride, y’all!!
Now that we're best friends with Nick Gizmondi, we might as well play some games with him... enjoy!
:55 - Nick “Gismo” Gismondi joins RTS and wastes no time, making himself comfortable with a glass of whiskey in hand, Kraken swag on, and stories to share! His good buddy Anze Kopitar, Major League (the movie), and his early playing days make the cut, before he…RELEASES THE SHOW!
6:20 - Nick is back. After the theme song, that is. And so are the $25 dollar hoodies from our sponsor Simply Seattle! Cop yours and use promo code RTS10. Oh, and follow us on all social media platforms...just not TikTok—no one, not even Nick, knows how to use it. However, Nick’s 13-year old nephew is a pro, so maybe we can get him on retainer, as a TikTok consultant?
8:30 - The guys ask Nick about the Kraken’s first win in 10 games. What happened? Was it because Chris was in attendance? Why did they finally win? Nick taps into his extensive hockey expertise and determines…it’s because the team got a puppy! Well…AND for some other hockey reasons, as well ;)
11:40 - Kevin encourages Nick to lace them up and get Coach Hak to “put him in, Coach!” But the modest Gismo defers to fellow broadcaster, JT Brown, as the one who’s truly ready for action. Perhaps the RTS crew should lace ‘em up and join both Nick and JT for a little "media vs Kraken" scrimmage? Ok, who’s checking the Big Rig, first?!
13:30 - Nick enters the RTS “high danger zone” (cue the music, Brett) and fields the fellas’ questions with skill and grace, adeptly addressing the team’s struggles, the coaching, the systems, and the need for galvanizing moments. Listening to Gismo talk Kraken hockey...might just “Take Your Breath Away.”
20:45 - The guys have their own answers for the Kraken’s problems, though — it’s ALL in the nicknames! RTS has the proven power to elevate a player's game with a simple nickname: Dan, Salmon McCannon, The Skoi Wonder (just to name a few). Dan’s an all-star and The Skoi Wonder put one past a Hall of Famer to win the game in OT. Gismo agrees and is gonna shout it from the rooftops! Or, at least, on TV. RIght, Nick?!
26:03 - With the trade deadline looming in a month, Chris wants to know where Nick thinks the team should go from here — do they buy or sell at the trade deadline? Big moves? Small moves? What’s the plan for the rest of the season? Nick doesn't love these questions…but he indulges anyway…because he's a professional. And we put him on the spot. As professionals.
27:50 - The show crescendos at the perfect time, as Nick gives a passionate speech that pumps up the show and gets us hyped about the journey we're all on with the Kraken. We're ready to run through a wall, y'all! Or, at least, the glass at Climate Pledge, if you’re Chris without a ticket. Gismo loves this fanbase and coaches us up to stick with the team through the ups and downs. He feels so lucky to broadcast for our Kraken, and we're so damn lucky to have him in Seattle.
This time on the show the guys talk about the current state of the podcast, where the podcast is headed in the future, and does anyone actually watch the Super Bowl for the game?
Before officially recording the BIG show, the guys sat around and chatted about this week's upcoming games - bonus laughter from producer Katie.
00:30 - It’s 2022. A New Year. A new you? A new me? A new us? Well, the guys dive in and share their resolutions (or lack thereof), so find out if Brett is going to start mailing it in? If anyone has any plans to hit the gym in the new year? And if can Chris FINALLY Release The Showwwwww?! So many questions. Only one ‘play’ episode button…
4:40 - The show starts with a Simply Seattle promo, but not just any Simply Seattle promo…our very own! Yep, that’s right — RTS has its own promo code, and it's all because of YOU, our listeners. We love you. We appreciate you. Now, go use our promo code RTS10, so we love you even MORE ;)
6:50 - KHT1 - “Extra! Extra! Coach Hak fired! Extra! Extra!” Should that be the headline? Or is that utterly ridiculous?? Well, perhaps Ron Francis really DOES listen to the show, because he came out recently in an ESPN article and backed his head coach and goaltender…you agree? The fellas discuss.
10:51 - KHT2 - Can RTS turn around the season with hockey nicknames, like they did for Dan? We've come up with some great ones on the show already, but Ryan Donato and Joonas Donskoi started a “Kraken Jokes with Donnie and Donny" show. Donnie & Donny?? C’mon guys! Maybe we can step up our nickname game in response? Can Jared McCann become the Salmon Cannon?? Even better, is Joonas Donskoi actually The Skoi Wonder?!
17:38 - KHT3 - If there’s ONE thing that we, here at RTS, know for sure…it’s that Seattle Kraken fans are the best! Need proof? We know you don’t, but we’ll give it anyway. Look no further than the viral story about a Kraken fan, who likely saved a Canucks Asst. Equipment Manager’s life, by banging on the glass and letting him know that he had a cancerous mole on his neck. Holy mole-y, that’s a feel-good story!
What should we do about coach Hack? Plus, Brett reads your emails word-for-word.
Brought to you by Simply Seattle. Use Promo code RTS10 for 10% off your purchases storewide.
00:00 - Kraken In-Arena Host, Angelica Salem hangs out with the fellas…likely regrets it, the guys start asking for favors and proposing their usual ideas. Brilliant, I say…brilliant.
3:50 - After apparently waiting a lifetime for this moment — the opportunity to discuss national anthem singing with an actual national anthem singer — Kevin jumps in with a passion and throws Angelica some rapid fire questions.
7:00 - The RTS and Angelica Salem connection is explored, and who would have thunk it…Kraken Twitter and good friend of the show, Ryan, have their fingerprints all over it.
8:40 - Angelica weathers the RTS storm like a pro and…RELEASES THE SHOW!!!
9:33 - Of course, an intro interruption and a giveaway. Cue: Brett and our Simply Seattle giveaway! Listen to find out how it all goes down and how you can contribute and win.
10:53 - Kraken hockey is back after COVID, and the guys are pumped to watch games again! But oh wait—GUT PUNCH!!—fan favorite Brandon Tanev is out for the season :( And after having a career-season, so far. Needless to say, it’s quite a bittersweet return to the action.
13:10 - That leads to a question: can the Kraken replace what “Turbo” brought to the team, on and off the field? Such a simple, tough question. Answer??
16:38 - What’s done is done. Can’t change the past. However, you can look to the future! So, the fellas dive into their New Year’s Resolutions — both personal and for the Kraken. Have a Happy New Year, y’all!
Family Meeting! Brought to you by Simply Seattle - go to simplyseattle.com for a $5 Seattle Freeze T-Shirt -- proceeds benefit local shelters. RTS is excited to welcome Kraken In-Arena Host, Angelica Salem, who has a fun conversation with our very own In-Game Host, Chris. Just two In-Game/Arena/Stadium Hosts talking shop! Topics range from Angelica’s crazy cool kicks with pouches...to her growing up on the East Coast and being a musical theater nerd...to singing the National Anthem for the Islanders and ultimately landing the In-Arena Host gig for the Kraken...to crowd energy and her favorite Kraken player. HINT: RTS very much approves. There’s much, much more in between, including a brief spat between Brett and 7-11…so hit play, enjoy, and get to know the super-talented, Angelica Salem!
00:00 - It’s the holidays, so the whole RTS Family is in the house, INCLUDING the Kraken! Well, sort of…they were playing the Sharks at the time of our taping, so the crew reacts in real-time to the game play and to a much-needed Kraken victory! Oh, and to Driedger’s crazy attempt to score an own-goal from behind the net? Huh?!
2:00 - You’re the GOAT! No, YOU’RE the GOAT!! NO, YOU’RRRRRE THE GOAT!!!! Wait…what’s a GOAT? Who’s the GOAT? Am I, and everyone else, overusing the term GOAT and its iconic emoji?? Not sure we have the answers, but we certainly have the discussion. You’re the GOAT, if you listen.
3:50 - The man, the myth, the legend, the GOAT? Intern Brian is front and center to Release the Show! But first, things get a little awkward with Kevin and Brian, and they gotta work through it to get to a fun chat all about Intern Brian: reacting to Kraken nation on Twitter, comparing our beloved Kraken to hockey in Canada, and of course, waiting for MONTHS to Release the Show!!! (Don’t embarrass the family, now, Intern Brian ;)
8:48 - Hot for Teacher Kevin kicks off our holiday show but doesn’t get far until Brett chimes in with talk of the most “popular” John Denver holiday song. Everybody knows this one! Mama Got Ran Over By A Reindeer, right?! No. Frosty the Snowman?! No. A Holly Jolly Christmas??! NO. Hmmm…are we sure it’s a popular one? You tell us!
13:10 - The time comes for the family to go round the table and share what they want Santa to bring them for Krakmas! First up: Friend of the Show Ryan tells us what he wants Santa to bring him for Krakmas. We bet you’d want it, too.
14:00 - Next up: Producer Katie jumps into the action with what SHE wants from Santa for Krakmas! Can you guess what it is? Could be anything, right? Yeah, we didn’t say it was an easy question…geez.
15:00 - Not to be outdone (albeit, not a competition), Kevin jumps in with what he’s hoping for from Santa. Disclaimer: reality was not kept in mind.
15:30 - Brett’s up! Does he actually want a…Trebuchet…for Krakmas?? What the f*#@ is that anyway? And will he ever stop talking about it? Not if Chris keeps asking questions… (But really, what the f*#@ is that anyway?)
17:30 - Hopefully not a trebuchet, as well (because that would be weird), Chris shares what he wants from jolly old Saint Nick! Hint: he’s the only one without it!
20:38 - Our Krakmas roundtable comes to a rousing close with what “the GOAT” wants. That’s right - Intern Brian makes a BIG ask for Santa. And we’ll just say this: fan favorite Turbo Tanev is involved…hmmmm….
23:39 - Oh wait! Brett is back with potentially another wish for Santa…or is it simply a hobby to share? Eh…it’s tough to tell the difference, when buying private islands. Amiright?
Happy holidays everyone!
With no hockey games on, Brett dips back into the inbox and reads a email from a genius level listener!
00:23 - Close friend of the show, Ryan (nickname TBD) joins the fellas to talk about Kraken hockey, his own personal hockey history, and all of the amazing work he’s been doing on behalf of RTS. The guy is a wizard! Oh, and of course…he Releases the Showwwwwwww!!!
8:40 - It’s going down this Sunday Dec 19th! Brett gives the rundown of our fundraising event at the Queen Anne Beer Hall to benefit Food Lifeline. It’s, ummm, kind of a big deal. You should come. Ok, cool, see you there.
11:22 - KHT#1: Sigh. Back in last place. We had a good run, everybody…good run. Is it over? Or no? Is it coaching? Or no? So many questions on this rollercoaster of a team! Do we have the answers? I don’t know. I just write the write ups. Listen and find out!
17:30 - KHT#2: Dark times call for light (hearted) measures. And Hot for Teacher Kevin has just the thing: a brand new RTS game — “Law Firm or Line Combo!” Given 3 last names, Brett and Chris have to determine whether the threesome is a bigwig antitrust firm…or the starting blue line for NY Islanders. Will Chris’ attorney-heavy family give him an edge?!
28:22 - KHT#3: The guys went for the first ever RTS Prediction Hat Trick of the season last week. And failed. Miserably. But it’s not how you fall; it’s how you get back up! (Thanks, Dad!) How will they rebound this week? Well, only the play on the ice will tell, but let’s just say…they were NOT aligned this week.
Family Meeting! Kevin has a conversation with Joe from Simply Seattle, and Brett has a Christmas present!
00:00 - The main man, Joe, from SIMPLY SEATTLE — the biggest and baddest Seattle Sports apparel company AND Release the Show’s newest sponsor — joins the fellas to talk Kraken hockey, Seattle sports, and apparel. Oh, and Joe gets hit with some rapid fire questions, as well, before he must step up to the challenge and…RELEASE THE SHOW!!!
8:31 - Brett interrupts to have a quick meeting about the Family Meeting. If you didn't catch that short RTS episode, check it out! We found the raffle winner!
10:30 - Do you like parties? Do you like to win stuff? Do you like to support great causes? Well, RTS is all up in the good work — hoodies for $25 that provide 25 meals from Simply Seattle, along with a blowout event at the Queen Anne Beer Hall on December 19th for Food Lifeline.
11:33 - KHT1: The Kraken beat the Oilers!! The Kraken beat the Oilers!! (Just keep repeating that refrain, so you might forget that they lost to the Penguins… ;) That’s right - from win streak to losing 6-1, the guys give their thoughts on the recent slate of Kraken play.
20:19 - KHT2: ESPN publishes the NHL “Goalie Confidence Rankings,” and Hot for Teacher Kevin breaks it down for Brett and Chris, who are split on whether they can believe where ESPN ranks our beloved Kraken goalies. How dare they talk about Gruby like that?! (Or is it warranted??)
28:45 - KHT3: It’s time for predictions! 2 games: Winnipeg & Columbus. How do the Kraken fare?? The guys will tell you. And will likely be wrong. Although one of them may be right — I mean, even the sun shines on a dog’s a—…well, you get the idea. But their reasoning is sound, so check it out…and see if you agree?!
Raffle tickets find the right person, Extra Mighty Ducks Talk, and we'er still using promo code BLEAV10 at simplyseatlle.com for 10% off. Their 25 for $25 promotion ends soon!

7:55 - KHT #1 - The guys are pumped about the Kraken's hot streak and much improved play of late! They discuss the big wins over Florida and Buffalo, and share more about the success of another watch party for the Sabres game at the Queen Anne Beer Hall.
19:13 - KHT #2 - Chris and Kevin were at the Capitals game at Climate Pledge and they talk about the experience. Was that game the biggest win of the season, the catalyst for the hot streak? Kevin coaches up the on-ice Salmon tossing crew, and Brett offers a gem of an idea...in two words...Salmon Cannon.
28:51 - KHT #3 - Predictions for the upcomings slate of games. Can the Kraken keep winning? The guys debate.
A Conversation with Kevin with our first troll and first contest winner - Sgt. Pickles.
Also, Brett breaks down the details from our very first sponsor - Simply Seattle. Use promo code BLEAV10 for 10% off your purchase. Don't miss their 25 for $25 - shop one of their unique hoodies and $5 pays for 25 meals through Food Lifeline.
00:05 - The guys kick off the episode and discuss their favorite Thanksgiving side dish. They all come up with the same delicious answer which proves that it is possible for the three of them to agree on something.
5:45 - What is Brett thankful for?
7:18 - What is Chris thankful for?
12:25 - Brett reveals that his mysterious famous friend who roots for the Arizona Coyotes is actually Frankie Muniz, from Malcolm In The Middle. Brett calls him on air...Did Frankie pick up? Are the guys finally getting over the Kraken's defeat in the desert?!
15:35 - BetOnline has found their next company pitchman. Chris delivers one of the most inspiring live reads in show history.
17:45 - What is Kevin thankful for?
19:16 - RTS gives a big thank you to Producer Katie and Intern Brian for all their great work on the show.
Happy Thanksgiving to the entire Release The Show extended family.
