Our projected, hopeful, vaunted rival! Well, it’s pretty hard to get a rivalry going with inconsistent play, letting up early goals, and ZERO WINS. Is Coach Hak on the Hot Seat?! Will he make it past this season?? The guys decide to put Hak on trial. (Can they get a sponsor for this segment in the future? They aren't above asking). Brett jumps in as the prosecutor, and Kevin takes the defense...while Chris apparently takes the…bailiff? Needless to say, it’s a bit mad in this courtroom.

(18:10) HT2 - Brett nails his predictions from last week with the Kraken going 1-2…but should he celebrate that?  It’s a bittersweet victory, to be sure, as we just want to see wins!  Perhaps RTS should STOP all predictions going forward? What would start them again, though? Are we jinxing them? Does superstition play a role in hockey?

Is the the bonding experience that the team needed to bring some more cohesion and consistency? Don’t ask Chris. He wasn’t there. And didn’t know about it. And he lives down the street. And is salty.

(2:51) The show gets off to a late start, literally, as the guys get lost in the sweet sounds of friend of the show, B-Boy Fidget. “What’s Crackin? What’s Crackin? We Kraken, We Kraken…” Oh, sorry, it almost happened again! Anyway, that Twitter giveaway isn’t much of a giveaway because…we can’t give the stuff away!! People apparently just don’t want free Davy Jones T-Shirts like they used to. Intern Brian the GOAT wants to give away 5 Davy T’s, and we can’t figure out why no one wants to make the GOAT happy?! (4:49) HT1 – What do Dan, fans, and John Hamm have in common? Macarons! Wait, no, that comes later. All-Star Weekend!!! That’s right – it was the Kraken’s first NHL All-Star Weekend, and our boy, Dan, was out there representing. And so was our boy, Brett, on Twitter, reminding everyone our boy’s name is…DAN. And apparently STILL trying to remind John Hamm that it’s macarons…not macaroons. Or is it the other way around? Who knows! And who knows why the judges chose Pietrangelo as the Breakaway Challenge winner, when you had Trevor Zegras’ out there Average Joe’in it up blindfolded! Kevin knows. Two words: Fan Voting. Maybe the fans should vote on Brett & Jon Hamm’s beef?

(9:30) HT2 – He did it folks! He FINALLY DID IT!! The Skoi Wonder has emerged with his cape and put one in the back of the net! And he’s not gonna look back! (Right??) It only took RTS creating a fire nickname and fire T-Shirt to make it happen…AGAIN (cough) DAN! (cough). Give us some credit, Gismo!!! Nonetheless, we will all remember where we were at that very moment. For Chris, it involved cognac and smile; for you, it was ___________ (that’s where you hit us up and fill in the blank!)

(12:16) HT3 – Can we? Do we? SHOULD we? Get back to predictions??! Slippery slope, RTS friends…slippery slope. To be fair, the Kraken are playing better, but the fellas are nervous about making predictions again and promise to quit altogether, if there’s a clear jinx factor at play here. In the end, Brett is a bit more pessimistic than Kevin and Chris, as he goes 1-2, while his two co-hosts go 2-1. But NOBODY wants to go “full prediction.” You never go “full prediction.”

18:25 – Wait, before you go! Brett has a few more words for John Hamm on the way out the door! SEE YA!

Did the refs purposefully turn a blind eye to an obvious interference call? Are we just the new kid(s) on the block?? Is it an inside job??! Or is it simply Intern Brian’s fault? We think you know.

(8:38) KHT#2 – We certainly know whose fault it ISN’T…The Salmon McCannon! The guy is just a machine. Yes, we know – that’s what the “cannon” part implies already, but seriously, the Salmon McCannon is undoubtedly making a case for himself as the Kraken’s best player. Should that bring about an argument as to which Kraken player should be headed to the All-Star Game?? Listen for yourself. You might get your answer…and some Barry White (compliments of Chris).

Chris and Brett go head to head once again and attempt to show off their hockey player / big whig attorney knowledge (or lack thereof), only this time wielding completely opposite strategies. 11:40 - Kevin encourages Nick to lace them up and get Coach Hak to “put him in, Coach!” But the modest Gismo defers to fellow broadcaster, JT Brown, as the one who’s truly ready for action. Perhaps the RTS crew should lace ‘em up and join both Nick and JT for a little "media vs Kraken" scrimmage? Ok, who’s checking the Big Rig, first?!

13:30 - Nick enters the RTS “high danger zone” (cue the music, Brett) and fields the fellas’ questions with skill and grace, adeptly addressing the team’s struggles, the coaching, the systems, and the need for galvanizing moments. Listening to Gismo talk Kraken hockey...might just “Take Your Breath Away.”

20:45 - The guys have their own answers for the Kraken’s problems, though — it’s ALL in the nicknames! RTS has the proven power to elevate a player's game with a simple nickname: Dan, Salmon McCannon, The Skoi Wonder (just to name a few). Dan’s an all-star and The Skoi Wonder put one past a Hall of Famer to win the game in OT. Gismo agrees and is gonna shout it from the rooftops! Or, at least, on TV. RIght, Nick?!

26:03 - With the trade deadline looming in a month, Chris wants to know where Nick thinks the team should go from here — do they buy or sell at the trade deadline? Big moves? Small moves? What’s the plan for the rest of the season? Nick doesn't love these questions…but he indulges anyway…because he's a professional. And we put him on the spot. As professionals.

27:50 - The show crescendos at the perfect time, as Nick gives a passionate speech that pumps up the show and gets us hyped about the journey we're all on with the Kraken.
