Look who’s back…. back again. We have returned from hibernation with the one, the only - Ari Groover! Steven is now working at TINA on Broadway as a dresser, and brought his fabulous colleague Ari into our virtual room. Ari has been a fixture of NYC theatre for awhile, and is currently starring in TINA as Tina’s sister Alline and also understudies the role of Tina. But Ari made waves the night she went on as Tina in March ‘22. And you probably didn't know, Marjorie, that Ari was not just any Tina, she was the Tina. She didn't lose just a wig, that wig was on fire. And when that wig flew into the air, it flew higher, further, faster than any wig has ever flown before, hitting a transformer and showering the darkened theatre with sparks! And when it finally did come down, Marjorie, Ari threw that tousled wig into the wings, and 12,000 people jumped to their feet for sixteen and one-half minutes of uninterrupted thunderous ovation, as flames illuminated her tear-stained face! And that, Marjorie – just so you will know and your children will someday know – is the night that the wig flew OFF at TINA!

We made it to the end of 2021, babes!! We can’t wait to roll up our proverbial sleeves and start another year. Steven started a new career path and tells us all about his wild nights on Broadway (during Covid!) as a dresser! Dana is speaking quietly as to not wake up her new baby nephew. Today we welcome our first Canadian - coming to us straight from Stratford, Ontario! Jacob James is a professional actor, Professor at Queen’s University, Artistic Director of the Theatre Curation Project (subscribe to the channel on YouTube - link below!) and most fittingly for this Halloween season - a casual ghost hunter who may have “the talent.” He definitely has the stories to back it up! Jacob shares many real life spooky tales with us and he also brought a couple audio clips of what he picked up on his EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) reader. We’re buying one immediately. Ever since Jacob was little, he has been able to intuit spirits and unexplainable vibrations surrounding him. As he has gotten older, he has defined himself as a skeptical believer, while at the same time - has leaned in to learning more about the things that have happened to him in his life. Her resume is the longest - having directed *almost* every tv show in the land, but her real bread & buttah is indie filmmaking. This queen got her chops from working with Martin Scorsese in film in the early days of her career and Ryan Murphy in tv. We get a really candid look at just how difficult/exhilarating it is to be a director - putting massive puzzles together and flying by the seat of your pants whilst holding a hastily crafted pb&j. She’s got a few more tricks up her sleeve, so follow her closely - this girl is on fire.
