Submit ReviewIn an I've Got A Beatles Podcast first, we examine a song that wasn't written by a Beatle nor appeared on a Beatles or solo album -- but it features Paul McCartney prominently! In this episode, we discuss Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney's duet "The Girl is Mine" from 1982's Thriller album. What do we think about the lyrics ("doggone girl??") and music? How did the song come about and what's going on at the end of the song? Are there any covers of the song? Check out the episode and let us know what you think.
We also review the latest Record Store Day.

It's time for another one of our patented Ringo album reviews! This time it's his 1998 album Vertical Man, the first album he worked on with Mark Hudson. As is typical for Ringo albums, there are some great songs featuring Ringo's old band mates, as well as some filler, and a whole lot of background singers! We also discuss some potentially-interesting George Harrison news.

In this episode, Dave and Chris kill two birds with one stone in this twofer episode combining a Beatle appearance in a film that happens to be a famous gig! What was the Rock and Roll Circus, held in 1968? What did John Lennon do at this event? Who were his bandmates? What other groups played at this event? How many of those groups were lip-synching? And why is Chris unhappy Allen Klein was involved?
After we discuss the Circus, we cover some recent current events in the Beatles world, including Paul's upcoming coffee table book, record store day releases, and more.

Many people know about Richard Lester's 1967 movie How I Won The War that starred Michael Crawford (the future "Phantom of the Opera") and John Lennon, but most haven't seen it. It's most famous because of Lennon, of course.
But Dave and Chris have now seen it and share their review of the movie. Is it worth seeing? How is John Lennon as an actor? Why is the movie so hard to find? (maybe there's a good reason?) How does it hold up today?
Let us know what you think!

Following our discussion of "Any Road," Chris launches into an epic rant about the latest McCartney release (the McCartney I,II, III box set) and why the McCartney camp doesn't seem to be listening to what fans actually want. What do you think?

Facebook: I've Got A Beatles Podcast
By popular demand, we review the 1970 Beatles compilation album, Hey Jude (The Beatles Again), which was a huge hit particularly in the US. This album features songs not available on standard US album releases, and is a good listen, but Dave and Chris discuss the album's strengths and weaknesses. Chris also laments several times that he no longer has a poster of the front cover! We hope you enjoy our tour through another American album.
