Submit ReviewChris shows up at his girlfriend Joanna's parents' house expecting to meet Joanna, but Joanna is running late. A couple of hours late, in fact. He's like, "I'll just wait on you." She's like, "Oh, they're definitely watching you from the window, so you're gonna have to go in." Just as Joanna is about to give him a piece of advice that starts with "Don't ask them about…," her phone dies. They invite Chris in to help decorate for their Christmas party. It's stepmom Nell and Dad Dave. Dave makes fun jokes like, "We might poison you with nuts." They sit down to get to know each other a little bit, and Chris asks a question: "How did you two meet?" They light up. It was 10 years ago to the date. He gets on this train full of people in ugly Christmas sweaters. Apparently, it's the inaugural ugly Christmas sweater convention. He finds the one person not wearing a Christmas sweater and sits across from her. It's Nell. He says chit-chat is hard, and she doesn't immediately tell him to get lost. She's a keeper. They begin to hit it off. The train stops due to ice, and he sees a sign for Fredo's Fruitcake, which she also happens to love. Two people who love fruitcake on the same train! He's like, "You know what, I’m gonna go get some." As he's in the store, the train begins to move. It leaves him behind! To make matters worse, they both remember each other's names incorrectly, with no way to contact each other!Dave is talking to his daughter and says, "I just hope that fate brings us back together." But he's a busy bee. Dave is a woodworker who is planning the town’s Christmas festival. He gets a letter from the city and has to call a woman named Eleanor. Who could that be?! Turns out she's against the festival because it isn’t good budget-wise, so the phone conversation does not go well. The next day, Dave and his daughter are walking around town, and she goes to pick up some coffee. Suddenly, Dave and Nell bump into one another! They realize that they both had the names wrong, and they're flirting hard! But then Dave gets an SOS text from his daughter. He calls, but there's no answer. So he's like, "I gotta go make sure she's okay, don't move!" Before he gets back, Nell has to move her car to avoid getting a parking ticket. Womp womp.Joanna can't believe that he didn't get her number again! So, she posts a "Missed Connection" on his behalf. Believe it or not, they bump into each other again! This time, they exchange numbers immediately! Well, they try. He doesn't have his phone, so he tries committing it to memory but can't because people on the street are just yelling out numbers. And she puts his number in her phone but ends up dropping it before she can save it!Wouldn't you know it, she ends up finding "his" missed connection. So she messages him, and Joanna gets it and asks her out on a date on behalf of Dave. So she comes over for his Christmas party, and they are having a great time. They're slow dancing when suddenly it all clicks for Nell—Dave is the David she's been arguing with about the Christmas festival. So she leaves and ghosts him!Dave and Joanna are so confused, but it all becomes clear to Joanna when she joins Dave for a meeting about the festival and sees Nell. So she convinces him to leave. She decides to try to make this work by getting Nell to meet with her and tell her that she knows who she is, but her dad still doesn't. So Joanna comes up with a plan to help Nell tell David the truth. She shows up at his farm with a fruitcake, and he gives her a tour of the festival. She begins to realize how much work he's been putting into this festival and that maybe it's not an entire waste of resources. She finally comes clean about who she is, but before she can, he tells her that he really likes her. The moment is so romantic, and she can't find it in herself to tell him the whole truth. Oh hey, back in the present, Joanna finally shows up after a bunch of travel hurdles. They don't quite get off to a strong start. He tells her that he loves her, and she creams him with icing and runs off. He decides he should just leave. Back in the past, Nell is about to tell Dave the truth, but he ends up bashing "Eleanor" before she can. Then the fire marshal shows up and shuts the festival down. She feels so bad, so she finally goes to tell him the truth. She starts by saying how much she likes him and how great he makes her feel. Just as she's about to say who she is, the fire marshal comes back in and is like, "GREAT NEWS, you pass!" and hands Eleanor the report, and it all becomes clear to David. Dave is really mad. She says she was scared to tell him the truth because what if David and Eleanor can't be together? "I just want to be Dave and Nell." He's like, "Well, maybe we aren't meant to be," and leaves.Back in present day, Joanna texts Chris, "I love you," and her parents encourage her to go get him. No regrets. Back to the story that matters, Eleanor goes to find David and tell him that she was wrong and that she wants him to be a part of the magic he's created. He tells her that he is sorry for what he said; he doesn't find her unlikable at all. She says, "You're my fate." He says, "We belong." And they kiss in front of Santa in an early running for kiss of the season. Back to present day, Chris runs to make it back to the festival, and Joanna is so happy to see him come back. They both say they love each other and THEY KISS. Chris' parents come to spend Christmas as one big happy family, and they immediately ask Nell and Dave, "How'd you two meet?"
Alonso Duralde & Dave White did the hard hitting work and watched the first 2 episodes of Finding Mr. Christmas. Today, they give their thoughts on this hot, new Christmas reality show!
The movie kicks off with some singing—more singing in the first minute than in the entire runtime of a movie ABOUT MUSICAL THEATER! Everyone loves it. Violette's dad comes up to her afterward with an envelope full of cash from the townsfolk. They're pumped that one of their own is going to Broadway! Cut to New York, and we get MORE singing! We're at this bar, and a dude is up there just straight vibing. It's Alex, and he's actually a waiter who has to get back to work!Alex's cousin, Brad, shows up, and Alex's boss, Hazel, is not happy to see him. She says whatever you do, do not give him money until he pays his tab. Alex is busy, busy, busy, but he really wants to be a playwright. Violette gets to New York and is shocked to find out that the tour has been canceled. Investors pulled out. She's crushed. Lucky for her, her aunt's best friend is...HAZEL! So she shows up at the bar right in the middle of Hazel's big number. Hazel is shocked to see her—it’s been a long time. Hazel says you have two choices: go back home and sell insurance or thicken your skin and figure it out. Violette is like, "Well, how about I work for you?" Hazel is like, "I don't think you can handle it, but I'll give you a shot." She also introduces her to Rae, who just lost her roommate. The next day, Hazel introduces Violette to the rest of the crew, and Alex is less than thrilled to have her, especially since she's getting to sing so quickly. She gets up there and sings "O Holy Night"—the flute player shows off—and the crowd goes nuts. As she’s singing, Brad walks in and is just jaw-dropped. Hazel comes up on stage and announces that Violette is going to be closing the Christmas Eve show with Alex, so get your tickets now! Brad talks to Alex and says he has to introduce him to this girl. If things work out with her, maybe he’ll even move out of your apartment! So Alex is in. In a shocking development, Violette is actually interested in ALEX! Violette has also been lying to her dad about the show because she doesn't want to disappoint him. Violette and Alex meet up to work on the Christmas Eve number. They argue about which song to sing and somehow land on "Santa Baby." Brad is out on the town and sees his ex, lying and telling her that he's dating someone named Violette. He gets back to his apartment, and Violette is there with Alex, and they have just the weirdest first impression. That weird first impression leads to an even weirder first phone call. But on that phone call, Brad gets Alex to set up a double date with him and his fake girlfriend, their neighbor June.So they all meet up at the Festival of Christmas Trees, and Violette asks Brad what his favorite musical is. So, obviously, he runs over and asks Alex for advice on what he should say. Basically, all of Brad's best stuff is actually just Alex's. The next day, Violette and Alex have to go deliver baskets to a senior center, and they sing some songs. That's when they stumble into their Christmas Eve duet—"The Christmas Song." They crush it. Back at the apartment, Brad is fishing for advice on what he should do with Violette on Christmas Eve. He recommends taking her to "The Nutcracker," since she said she sees it at her dad's every year. After a failed audition, Alex and Violette walk around the city and talk about life, giving each other some advice. Clearly falling for her, Alex makes Violette a yule log because she made one every year back home. She shows up, and Brad takes all the credit for it. She even thanks him with a kiss! Alex walks in while they’re kissing. Whomp, whomp. But she is deeply bothered by Brad falling asleep during "The Nutcracker." At work, Alex shows Violette a little of the show he's writing, and she inspires him to finish it! Brad comes up with the idea that they should go caroling, which really moves Violette, and she kisses him again. But when she sees Alex sing "Silent Night," she's clearly moved. And who wouldn't be? After receiving flowers from Brad, she tells Alex that while Brad is a great guy, she doesn't think he's her great guy. Alex's eyes light up like a Christmas tree. She calls and breaks things off. It's Christmas Eve, and they're about to perform. Violette is shocked to see that her dad is here. She goes outside to catch her breath. As she's doing that, she overhears an argument between Brad and Alex and finds out that Alex was feeding Brad all the information. She tells them both off, but uh oh, it’s time to perform. She gets on stage and can’t do it. She runs off. Alex goes to talk to her, but she doesn't want to talk to him. She just wants her dad! Her dad gives a great pep talk like all good TV dads do. It's Christmas morning. Brad gives Alex the best Christmas gift—the gift of going away forever. Violette has a note slid under her door to meet at the bar at 5 PM. She shows up, and Hazel set up a do-over...in front of a Broadway producer...on Christmas Day!!! So she and Alex make up, and they decide to sing the original song from Alex's musical, and it’s a musical bop that I still can't get out of my mind...WHO KNEW, WHO KNEW IT'D BE YOU, WHO KNEW IT'D BE YOU THIS CHRISTMASSSSS. The producer loves it. And Alex and Violette kiss as the drummer looks down at his drum set because he thinks kisses are icky. The movie ends with a bunch of headlines about their Broadway smash hit.
The movie kicks off at the initial wedding, where Jackson is dancing with his daughter, Betty, and Betty drops a bomb—she's moving to Italy with her mom. Jackson is pretty miserable. He runs a firm that represents social media influencers, like a guy who just eats soup. One day, he gets a call from his ex asking if Betty can come and stay with him for a while, and he's like, “I got a better idea—I’ll come to you!” He goes to Italy and gets a red convertible, 'cause why not? He almost hits a woman named Gabriella. I'm sure he'll never see her again, though. Except he does, 'cause of course she runs a café that doesn't serve cappuccinos in the afternoon. They continue to bump into each other, and friction turns into sexual tension. He even builds her a new website. But Jackson is like, “Nothing is going to happen between us.” He is a bit hesitant to love since he's been there, done that, and got divorced. The boys come to visit, and they go to a masked dance. The boys are like, “Go out there, dance with someone.” He is hesitant but does end up dancing with a masked stranger, and it is hot, hot, hot. He even dips her! It's a moment. But he leaves before finding out who she is.The next day, they're at the café, and Gabriella slips and almost falls, and he catches her, dip style, realizing that it was her he danced with. He talks to her about it, and she's like, “Sorry, I didn't know it was you.” The next day, he's walking with Betty, and Betty tells him that he's not dating for any other reason than being scared, and it's not fair to either of them. The following day, Gabriella brings over some lasagna, and he offers to drive her home. The car breaks down, so they end up walking back to the city, and he opens up about everything. She tells him that she knew it was him all along during the dance. They are about to kiss, but the sprinkler turns on, and everyone knows you can't kiss while wet. He joins her for dinner at her father's house, and at the end of the night, he's like, “I'd love to make this work, but it just doesn't make sense.” She's like, “We'll always have that dance.” He realizes that he done goofed and decides that he's going to stay! They kiss!Cut back to the narrator of the story—it's Betty. Milo shows up and tells her that he's loved her since they were kids. They get married. Everyone gives so many speeches, Then they all dance. And FINALLY, the groomsmen do there special dance again.
Charlotte is a chocolatier who recently moved to Vienna with wild ideas, like putting potato chips into chocolate. She's at a fundraising event surrounded by many Christmas trees. Also at this event is Henry, who doesn't know much, but he knows you don't put potato chips in chocolate. Charlotte is trying hard to win Vienna's Chocolateer of the Year. If she wins, she thinks it will be a lot harder to lose her shop to a developer who's trying to buy it. And who is that developer? Henry. Everything is looking good for the €300 million development, except for Charlotte's shop—she is fighting it tooth and nail. Henry doesn't know about that, though, because he doesn't want to know the details. He just wants to be on holiday! He leaves a meeting to walk through the market and bumps into Charlotte again. They end up walking around the city together, having a great time. They eventually return to her chocolate shop, and she gives him some chocolate to remember her by. On his way out, he hands her his card. The next day, they bump into each other again, and he asks her if she wants to get dinner. She says she always has time for food. They go out and talk about their dreams and whatnot, which gets Henry thinking: is he actually doing what he loves? He knows that Charlotte is. He finds out that Charlotte is fighting off a developer, and he thinks, "Let me see what I can do to help you." He asks his associate to look into Charlotte's business to see what they can do to help her fight off the developer as a historical landmark. What Henry doesn't know is that the associate is the one trying to fight her on the historical landmark. So instead of helping her, she serves Charlotte with paperwork claiming eminent domain. Charlotte is like, "Over my dead body!" She is ready for war! And she's going to ask Henry to fight with her! She shows him the paperwork, and it all clicks in—he's the bad guy in this story. He could come clean to her, but he doesn't want to. Instead, they go ice skating and decorate a Christmas tree. He calls his dad to get his advice, and his dad says he should just pay them off and get it over with. They do offer her more money, but she's not having it. She decides to look into this company to see what she can use to fight against them, and it's at this point that she discovers Henry is associated with them. So she barges in and tells him to shove off! Henry feels all mopey. She's looking at pictures and comes across a photo of her grandma with her best friend, who still lives in Vienna. So she goes to visit them, and luckily, she has a picture of them in front of the building before the special date that makes it historic, so she has proof. Henry's dad shows up and tells him he's sorry for being a sucky dad and that he wants to help him figure out a way to make things work with Charlotte. So he puts together some cool blueprints that will allow her to keep her shop while also letting them do their development. She's like, "I need some time to think about it. Might as well waltz." She eventually tells him that she's in, and they kiss. Then they talk about it, and she says she's in again, and they kiss again. And then there are fireworks!

The movie kicks off with a mysterious situation. A blonde woman delivers a box containing Santa and a microchip. They flee together, and we discover that this is actually a TV show that a woman named Whitney watches intently while eating cereal in her PJs—just like me on Saturday mornings. Her coworker, Rachel, tries to set Whitney up on a date because she thinks Whitney watches too much TV—a bold statement, especially in a movie on a network that starts playing 24/7 Christmas movies two weeks before Halloween. We then meet real-life Secret Agent Josh Dawson, who works for a detective agency and has been undercover for six months with no results. His boss tells him they’re shutting down the operation, but Josh explains that he wants to stop a heist involving a necklace called the Heart of Christmas, worth over $10 million, set to be displayed at a Christmas ball on Christmas Eve. His boss agrees to give him one more chance, but only if he has a partner. So, Agent Keira Tanner is assigned to go undercover as Dawson’s girlfriend.Dawson, wearing a green sweater, agrees to meet with Keira to discuss the case. However, Whitney, who is supposed to be on a blind date with someone in a green sweater, sits down with him first. He jumps right into discussing the case, and Whitney is bewildered. He quickly realizes she’s not who he was supposed to meet, but it’s too late—they’re expected to have dinner with “the mark.” So, he asks Whitney to just play along.Whitney reluctantly agrees but immediately fumbles by telling the couple that she’s a ballroom dancer between jobs. The woman, Patty, then asks Whitney to help plan a ball! The next day, Agent Dawson brings Whitney to his boss, intending to figure out how to remove her from the situation. But the boss sees an opportunity: Whitney has secured regular access to their targets, so she can’t drop out now. However, she’ll need some training.Cue a training montage where Whitney initially struggles but eventually masters everything, from backstory to subtle texting. She’s ready to go!At Patty and Maxwell’s, Patty gives Whitney the lowdown on the necklace while Dawson snoops around. He’s caught by Maxwell, but Maxwell brushes it off and offers him a bottle of wine.Finding no clues, they visit a museum to devise a plan for catching the thieves during the party. The museum guide mentions he once got tricked by a fake painting, giving Whitney an idea: a fake necklace! They find a woman who makes jewelry and can whip up a replica in just a few hours. They stay to watch her work, and Dawson is impressed by the result. In the short time before the party, Whitney decorates Dawson’s apartment for Christmas because, well, you have to.The necklace arrives and is kept in a secure area. Dawson lowers Whitney down to swap the real necklace with the fake one, but the mission fails. Now, they’ll have to try during the actual party. Before the party, Whitney has a game night with her family, and Dawson agrees to join. The game is Christmas charades. Nervous about meeting a girlfriend’s family for the first time, Dawson ends up having fun and winning over the family, who are a bit suspicious of these two lovebirds. It’s party time! When they see each other dressed up, sparks fly. At the party, they’re about to swap the necklaces when Patty suddenly introduces them for a surprise tango. Fortunately, they nail it. Then Whitney’s dad unexpectedly shows up.While they’re talking, the power goes out, and the necklace goes missing. They spot a man with a briefcase and chase him to the roof. Opening the case, they find it’s a decoy. Looking down, they see the museum director escaping with the jewels—and Whitney’s parents have been taken hostage! They rappel down and catch up with the van, only to find that her parents have the situation under control. It turns out her parents used to be in the FBI. They explain that they were suspicious after Whitney rescheduled game night, so they showed up at the party and quickly figured things out. They even secured the real necklace. The movie could end here, but it doesn’t. Whitney feels betrayed by her parents and storms off, upset that they ruined her exciting night. Josh follows her and tries to calm her down, telling her her parents are amazing. She retorts, “What do you know about family?”—a stinger, given that Josh grew up in the foster system. As Whitney mopes, she realizes the painting the museum guide mentioned earlier has been stolen. She suspects Patty and goes to confront her, only to end up in danger. Just as the bad guys are about to capture her, the FBI storms in and saves the day. It’s Christmas Day, and Whitney’s parents arrive with gifts and apologies. She forgives them. Josh shows up, and Whitney gives him a Christmas present—a snow globe. He gives her a replica of the Christmas necklace. Whitney invites Josh to spend Christmas with her family, and they kissssssss as the fake snow snows.
The movie kicks off at a Christmas party—if you can believe it. It’s year one, and Alice walks into a room full of theater kids. It’s the wrap party for a fresh version of A Christmas Carol that Alice created. Alice is a senior in college and is happy to be finishing with a success. She’s surprised to see Max there. She goes up to the rooftop as it’s snowing, as one does, and Max shows up. He tells her how amazing the show was. He tries to explain where he’s been, but she says, “Don’t worry about it.” Just as they’re about to leave, she asks why he decided to talk to her after ignoring her for the last three years. He replies, “I really liked your show and thought you should know.” They’re about to kiss, but she’s like, “Nooo, this isn’t happening.” They awkwardly part ways. The next day, she’s talking to her mom and is shocked to find out that the bookstore closed. She needs a job, so she takes a volunteer (unpaid) position at the theater. To help make ends meet, she picks up a side gig at a catering company. And guess who else works there? Yep, it’s Max. After a party, he helps her take the Christmas tree to her place. She asks if they could recreate the rooftop situation to see what happened; they do, and they kiss. But then she’s like, “Okay, so now we know we’re good at that, but I can’t afford any distractions!”We get a montage of the year. Before we know it, it’s year two. Alice walks into the catering gig, and guess who’s back—it’s Max! While they’re out looking for a tree for a party, he explains that he never meant to ignore her; he was just intimidated by how smart she is. At the party, naturally, it leads to a performance. A bad one, but a performance nonetheless.Alice is shocked when Lisa from the theater shows up. She confides in Max that maybe she lied about “crushing it” at the theater—it was a complete failure. She says, “Volunteering was a lot harder than I expected. It took so much more of my time, and eventually, I just had to work more and stopped showing up.” Max admits he hasn’t booked anything either and is mostly just bartending. When he finds out she’s spending Christmas alone this year, he’s shocked. On their way out, Lisa thanks them for charming her family into joining the board and tells Alice she’s welcome back at the theater anytime. We get another montage of the year: Max texting Alice and her not texting back. Now it’s year three, and we see that Max finally booked a gig—as an elf in a print ad. She sees him and is like, “Oh, sorry for ghosting you,” and he’s like, “It’s really no big deal. We’re friends. Just friends. It’s good.”It’s time to cater together again. Alice’s friend invites her to move to New York, but Alice is like, “Oh no, I couldn’t; I have so much going on here.” Max and Alice have a moment looking at the Christmas tree. They almost hold hands but don’t quite make it. He tells her he has to go back to LA tomorrow for a callback for a big movie!Alice goes to meet with Lisa, who offers her a real job as an assistant director…paid! She immediately says yes and heads back to the Christmas party with her friends, excited. When she realizes which movie Max is up for, she shares her good news, and they celebrate as friends do—with a big kiss. Afterwards, they talk about whether the kiss changes anything. Max says he’d like to give this a shot, but Alice says, “I’d just be a distraction when you’re about to have your big break. Let’s just keep being smart.” Max is sad. Alice is sad. But what can you do?We get another year montage, showing Alice never getting to talk to Max because he’s so busy. It’s now year four, and Alice finds out one of the parties they’re catering is a celebration for Max’s movie, thrown by his parents. At the party, Max tries to apologize for Alice ghosting him, but he’s like, “It’s fine.” Clearly not wanting to have this conversation, she tries to go inside and accidentally spills wine all over Daphne Day, his co-star and a superstar. Alice has an idea—they put Daphne to work with an apron, and it ends up being a smash hit with the press. Alice sees Max and Daphne looking at the pictures together—very closely, I might add—and feels a bit jealous. After the party, Max tells Alice he’s not dating Daphne. In fact, they barely like each other and are just doing it for the press. Alice loves it. She invites Max to come over for Christmas dinner. They spend the night watching Christmas movies, wake up, and spend the day laughing and having fun. He asks her to come with him to LA for the premiere—and also just for life. He says he’s fallen so in love with her. She says she needs to think about it and leaves, but later she says yes!Just as she’s about to leave, she gets a call from Lisa. Lisa wants her to basically run the theater. Alice suggests they try long-distance, but Max says, “If we wanted to try that, we would have by now. We can’t keep doing this year after year. We can’t keep waiting.”We get another montage of the year, showing Alice working hard at the theater and loving life. It’s Christmas again, and naturally, Max shows up to watch the show…and to cater. Alice sees him at a Christmas party, and he’s acting all weird. She tells him she loves him, and he tells her to break a leg.The show is a hit, but afterward, she’s not happy, and it’s freaking her out. This is all she’s ever wanted. She talks to her mom, who tells her to follow her heart. Alice is told to take some sliders out to the alley, where Max is waiting. They both share that success would be better if they could share it together…just like Christmas. They kiss and decide to make it work!
The movie kicks off with a montage of a couple taking Christmas card pictures together over the years. It’s the McCaul family, and they are loving each other until 2023, when Kevin shows up late, and it’s clear his wife Lauren is very annoyed.Cut to the present day, and Kevin and Lauren are separated. You hate to see it; you also hate to see sober Kevin get fired from his bar job. That’s right…bar job. Apparently his sobriety was a liability. After that, they all meet up at Kevin’s family’s house. Kevin and Lauren talk about working together to make sure that their son Charlie still has a great Christmas. When Lauren asks Kevin how work is going, he says, “Good!” but doesn’t tell her he was fired. That secret doesn’t last long, though, as his mom spills the beans. Lauren is upset and goes to leave. Kevin tries to stop her, and it becomes clear that part of their problems stem from the financial hardship of buying their dream home, which ended up being a money pit.Lauren is eating cookies in bed (which spoke to me), when she gets a call from her mom, who tells her she’s coming to visit for Christmas. Uh oh – she doesn’t know about the separation. So Lauren goes to ask Kevin if he’d be willing to help keep it a secret from her mom, and he agrees to a fake Christmas in exchange for them going back to couples therapy and going on their annual Christmas date together.Kevin shows up, says hi to Lauren’s mom, and uses the opportunity to kiss Lauren. They go to therapy, where Lauren shares how her mother’s judgment affected her growing up as “Little Miss Mess” because she never finished what she started. This is why she doesn’t want her mom to know about the separation or that the dream house isn’t working out.Lauren’s mom, Janet, was only supposed to be there for one day because she had a Christmas cruise planned – but it turns out the cruise was fake! They decide to keep going with the lie, but it doesn’t last long. At the ice skating rink, Kevin is late and is acting sketchy. Overwhelmed with emotion, Lauren ends up telling Janet the truth. They all go to a community center gingerbread house competition – montage time! At the contest, Kevin finds out that Lauren is in the process of getting the house ready to sell. But when Kevin meets Jason, the real estate agent Lauren is considering, he gets a little jealous and jumps headfirst into helping with the house that that Lauren doesn’t have alone time with Jason.Later, Kevin’s dad has to go to the hospital, and Kevin uses the moment to get serious, promising his dad that he’ll help out more because he wants to be “Helper of the Week.”Kevin gets a job at a counselor’s office. His goal is to become a counselor because, again, he wants that “Helper of the Week” status, but for now, he’ll just be working in the office.Kevin forgets about their Christmas date, so he quickly sets up a projector in the “dream home” and decorates it for Christmas. He plays Lauren’s favorite movie, they laugh, eat Chinese food, and slow dance to some Frank Sinatra. It’s the kind of moment that brings two people together – until Lauren’s mother’s angel ornament breaks. Lauren is devastated because she feels she’ll always be seen as a “Little Miss Messy” daughter, but she comes clean to her mom.Just then, the handsome real estate agent shows up to tell Lauren about an offer on the house and asks her out for dinner. Kevin assumes it’s a date and tells Janet how being called “Little Miss Mess” affected Lauren.Janet apologizes to Lauren for the “Little Miss Mess” nickname, explaining she only called her that because her room was always a mess. She then shows her that she fixed the angel ornament. Lauren remarks that it’s even better than before. Janet says, “Instead of hiding imperfections, you use them to add to the beauty.”Lauren rushes to find Kevin at the church, but he’s just left to do some deliveries. So, she teams up with his family, and after church, they drop him off at the dream house, where she tells him she no longer wants to just “fix things” but to work on growing together. They share a big kiss.Cut to Christmas morning, and they’re all together, happy and content.
