Is it still possible to make a "hit" podcast in the 2020's?

With so many big production companies out there now, can someone with little time, no budget, and just the power of a home computer, still create a show which competes with the world's best?

I'm a former journalist and also a disillusioned podcaster, and last year I almost quit forever having made 5 lacklustre shows. But I decided to give it one more go to see if I could find the secret of making a "hit" show.

I'm documenting the whole process on social media and in this podcast.

There are a lot of articles and advice out there which claim it's still possible. So is it? Let's find out.
