Health has been central to my life for more than 20 years, so it's been fascinating (and surprising) to observe the impact which learning about and adopting bitcoin seems to be having on how people approach their diet, fitness, and many other aspects of well-being. The future of the bitcoin economy will not only be people transacting in bitcoin, but people of all backgrounds, educations, and experiences re-interpreting their professions (and much else), through a 'bitcoin lens'.
In keeping with the 'quest for truth' which bitcoin seems to inspire, many people who have gone down the 'bitcoin rabbit hole' have begun questioning the standard dogma as it relates to health, fitness, nutrition, medicine, and have been seeking (and finding) more truthful information and perspectives to integrate into their lives (to great benefit!).
'Remnant MD' is the pseudonym for a medical doctor who falls into this category, and who has begun using his experience and expertise to share a perspective on medicine and health that departs from the 'status quo', or what might be called 'fiat medicine'.
Instead, he is sharing and exploring what might be called 'bitcoin medicine' - and in this podcast we explore what such a thing might mean.

Over the last year or so, Jordan Peterson has been very critical of the quality of online discourse, attributing much of the problem to anonymous/pseudonymous accounts. He refers to such accounts as 'troll demons' or 'dark tetrad types', and has expressed his desire to see them separated from 'verified' users. While his complaints are not unwarranted, I feel that his proposed solutions are overly simplistic, and fail to appreciate the role of anonymous expression, and the dangers/downsides of trying to remove it. In November of 2021, I was fortunate enough to be involved in the filming of a documentary about Bitcoin Beach in El Salvador.
Over the last two years, the director and producer have turned it into a beautiful feature-length documentary, which highlights the incredible people and motivations behind this fascinating story / phenomenon.
It was released this week on several streaming platforms and networks for markets all over the world, and will soon be available (to purchase with bitcoin), on the film's website (90% of profits will be going to the Bitcoin Beach crew).
It is also the 2 year anniversary of the bitcoin law coming into effect in El Salvador, so I thought it would be a prefect time to have the producer of the film come on to tell the story of making it.

The Economic Situation in China has recently been attracting more attention, as a result of several economic indicators showing worrying signs.
Despite it's robust growth over several decades, there have long been worries about how much has been fuelled by unsustainable amounts of debt, money printing, and the resultant over-production / malinvestment, particularly in the all-important real-estate sector.
That said, many opportunities have been missed, and many macro commentators embarrassed, by predicting a 'China crash' that never comes.
Given the precarious economic situation that prevails everywhere in the world today, as well as China's massive influence on the global economic situation, I thought it would be interesting to dig into it with two experienced commentators.
Peter St Onge is an economist at the Heritage Foundation and Fellow of the Mines Institute, who has recently been on the bearish side of China's situation.
Peter Alexander is a 30-year China veteran and founder of Z-Ben Advisors, and generally tries to bring nuance to what he believes to be incomplete or biased 'Western' perspectives on China.

Vivek Ramaswamy burst onto the American political scene in early 2023, after announcing his presidential campaign (on the Republican side).
I was immediately struck by his thoughtfulness and eloquence, but even more so by his 'radical' policy positions (which I largely support), and the detail with which he is explaining how he will execute them.
Vivek appears to me to be properly diagnosing many of the issues confronting the US (and the world more broadly today), and seems to have a unique courage and ability to articulate what he believes to be the truth, regardless of the forum he is speaking in (and whatever pushback he may receive as a result).
Does he just have his finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist, and is saying what people want to hear?
It doesn't seem like it to me, but of course, the point is for it to not seem like that, and as such, politics is forever a domain that one should be especially sceptical of (and secondary to individual action).
As a result, I invited Jordan Schachtel, an independent journalist who has been critical of Ramaswamy, and Vijay Boyapati, someone who's been on Vivek's podcast and who's been more positive on him, on the show to discuss his candidacy through a 'bitcoiner' perspective.
