Welcome to Episode 40 of this thing we call the High On Sports Podcast!  We can't believe we have done 40 episodes, but we have and we are proud to bring it to you for you to listen and have fun with us.  In this episode we talk a lot about the tragedy that happened last Sunday, the Super Bowl and just other sports and non-sports topics.  We hope you enjoy listening as much as we like recording these shows.  Remember, we aren't the worst sports podcast you'll ever hear...but we're close!

Segment 1:  We talk about the helicopter crash that took the life of NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and 7 others last Sunday.  We talk about Lobe and his basketball career, his post NBA career and his life all around.  He wasn't a perfect person but he was a husband, a father, and a son that lost his life way too soon.  

Segment 2: We talk about Super Bowl 54 that happens this coming Sunday in Miami.  Willie talks about some of the prop bets you can make that are game and not-game related.  We also make our predictions on who we think will win the game.  

Segment 3: It's our free-for-all segment where we talk a little bit of everything.  We talk about the Predators and hockey in general, and we talk about a bunch of other things; some have to do with sports and some things don't.  

Again, we thank all of you who listen to our little show.  We aren't trying to be professionals.  Basically it's what you would hear if the three of us were sitting around having a drink or lunch and talking about different sports topics.  We do have a lot of fun doing this and hope to continue for another 40 episodes at least.  

Hello everybody, Willie, Russ, and Swamp are back!  It is the first episode in the new decade and they are proud to bring to you Episode 39!  This week they boys talk plenty of NFL and the Tennessee Titans, they also talk a little NHL Hockey, and whatever else it is they want to talk about.  

Segment 1:  The NFL segment.  The guys talk about the playoffs, focusing a lot on the Tennessee Titans' improbable run to the AFC Championship game and what they need to do to make it to the next step, which is the Super Bowl.  Speaking of Super Bowl, they talk about the upcoming game and who they think will win SB 54.

Segment 2:  The NHL segment.  Willie, Russ, and Swamp talk all things hockey and what has happened to the Nashville Predators.  Can they make the playoffs this year, and if not, what happens to this team?

Segment 3:  The free-for-all segment.  This is the time for the guys to talk about whatever they want, sports related or not.  They get into some interesting conversations about all kinds of stuff.

Hello High On Sports listeners.  Sorry, it has been a crazy couple of weeks trying to get this episode recorded.  It took us three tries to get it recorded but we finally got it done... technical difficulties are a bitch!  Sorry for the audio quality on this episode, we tired a different say of recording and our audio suffered for it.  But, if you can stick it out...and we hope you do...we have some good sports talk in this episode.

Segment 1:  We talk a little college football and the college football playoff.  Rivalry week was last week and we recap some of the bigger matchups of the past weekend.  Plus, we look ahead to the Conference Championship games coming up this week.  

Segment 2:  The NFL takes the stage in this segment with us giving our playoff picks in each conference.  Will the Raiders beat the Titans this Sunday???  Willie sure hopes so because he and Russ have a lunch bet on it.  

Segment 3:  This is always the potpourri segment.  We start off with a little NHL talk but it quickly moves into just general banter, sports and other stuff.

Segment 3:  We talk a little NHL and who Swamp likes this week (hint: it's both the NY teams).  Plus we go into a little Predators talk.  We also talk a little English Premier League, Champions League, and Mexican League soccer...you know you can't get enough soccer talk so we give you what you want!

Segment 3: The segment starts off with Swamp going on a rant about the Predators' new in-game marketing strategy and how much he doesn't care for it; it would've been perfect for Willie's new "That Pisses Me Off" segment but instead it was just a rant. Welcome to Episode 34! In this week's show the boys talk about college and pro football and several other sports topics. Segment 1: College football and what is Tennessee going to do with their QB and head coach. Willie and Russ go deep about the state of the Vols' program. Swamp gives his weekly Notre Dame review and they preview this weeks games of interest. Segment 2: NFL football is the topic and Russ' team finally won a game! Listen to him break down the Titans win over the Falcons as well as Willie breaking down the Raiders win over the Colts and the Vontaze Burfict saga. Swamp's team, the Steelers, hadn't played yet as of the recording but he gives a preview of the Monday night game versus the Bengals. Segment 3: The guys talk a little hockey with the 2019-2020 season starting this week. They discuss the Predators' chances to win the Stanley Cup and look at the Central Division as a whole.
