You may have heard that, starting with Episode 160, I began accepting the financial support from advertisers.  As I started meeting with marketing firms, production studios, and other industry experts, it didn’t take me long to realize this is the real deal and to enter that market legitimately, it’s going to take some work.  I’m up for the challenge!  As I presented my plan to each of them, they agreed we have something unique and special here.  The most common question back was “HOW did you get this far on your own?”  My simple response, was “I don’t know, HOW, I just stayed focused on WHY!” We’ve demonstrated that the show is super successful.  In 10 months, you’ve downloaded 1.5 million episodes.  It’s no wonder advertisers are calling to get their names and products to your ears.  We are an amazing community that is focused and engaged.  It’s my favorite part of this journey.  I made the deliberate decision to accept their support so that I could begin to build the show the way I want to build it - but, I also know sometimes those advertisements are a distraction to our focus So here is what I’ve done.  Since so many of you have already signed up as Patrons to provide a monthly contribution, I’m turning that support into commercial free episodes first.  The remaining (unfunded) episodes will be released to advertisers.  I think this is the perfect balance as we take WhysAdvice™ to the next level.  The advertisers who have stepped up, are incredible wingmen, as well, providing me the validation that we actually CAN build this.    Their support, combined with yours, is making this a reality.  I’ll let the community decide the right balance between, sponsored and unsponsored episodes.  I will just focus on bringing you better audio quality, more consistent scheduling, audio/video interviews from real success stories, and engaging social media.  I’m ready to build a team to put this all under one roof!  I’ve made it fun to make a monthly contribution at Patreon.  You can give yourself a fancy title, such as Wingman, Sergeant, Colonel etc, but note, there can only be ONE President :)   As the number of Patrons grows we can build Squadrons, Wings and Groups!  The sky is the limit, and with your support, we can continue to defend the world against obesity.   If you’re already a Patron, log in and select the appropriate tier level for your current contribution.   How fun would it be, if this show, generated FOR you, was 100% listener supported.  That somewhat goes against the rules in this industry, but then again I’ve never really done any of this by the rules.  I’ve simply followed my heart. I’m doing it all wrong! And I LOVE it! I’m a regular guy. I dropped out of college at the request of the dean and joined the military. I have 2 associates degrees, but have little desire to use either of them. Nor do I have the desire to chase a bachelors, but I’ve never stopped learning. I’d been overweight most of my life, you’ve likely heard the story and have seen the changes I’ve made. I’ve documented it all on FatDag.com in case this is your first introduction to me. Ever since I made Goal, I’ve wanted to convince anyone out there that re-inventing themselves is doable. My wonderful life, became even more wonderful when I shed the weight and the associated baggage that 91 pounds adds to a tired body and mind. There was a point early in the journey, when I amassed 8,000 social media followers. A number that caught me off guard. I got caught up in that frenzy and felt the need to “grow it”. I began doing things to deliberately see if I could move the needle towards fame and fortune. It didn’t take me long to realize that was the wrong direction and actually conflicted with my internal desires. So I backed away. It was the best decision I could have ever made. I spent the next 18 months just being me and a big part of me, is this desire to give back. I’m not a business person. I don’t have a social media strategy. I never look to find out when the best time to post was. I just lived my life and shared the ups and downs with you. I knew you craved a real person, changing their life, to demonstrate to you that you can change yours as well. I know this, because that’s what I needed and that’s exactly how I made goal. 10 months ago - I didn’t know what a podcast was. I’ve spent more time on google trying to learn, than I have in my bed sleeping. I’ve learned enough to know this is bigger than me and larger than any of us could have ever predicted. So, it gives me a great sense of pride to Welcome you to Chapter 3 of an amazing journey. I met with a full production media company to get some assistance. As we met there were 4 things I insisted on and they are non-negotiable. The listener is the Priority. 👆 When the dollar is more important than the people, we’ve failed. I must Connect with real people and help them succeed.     That’s what this is all about. With those guidelines, in place, I can build a team that I can trust. I’m now free to do what I do best and that’s keep us all motivated. In many ways this gives me my life back, and in so many more it gives you yours! I started 2018 with the vision to take the next step. I had the choice of giving it all up, or figuring it all out. Giving up has never been a strategy. So I’m not wasting any time figuring it all out. As we begin to work on what’s next, my promise to you is that it only gets better! For 18 months I stayed focused on the community and my need to serve. This time taught me so much more than I could have ever figured out alone. I fully understand the need and I’m going to deliver on it. I’m asking for your support as a Wingman to take the next step with me. By becoming a patron, we can make the dream a reality for all of us. It’s an uncomfortable ask for me, but I know it’s what needs to be done. While it conflicts with the desire to give back, I’ve learned that by pooling our resources, we can do more together than any of us can do alone. You taught me that, and I’m honored to be here today to give back!

I’ve done all that I can alone, and by alone, I mean a team of amazing listeners, connectors, friends, social media contacts and wingmen. With your support, we launched the WhysAdvice™️ with FatDag Podcast on March 14, 2017 and as of this post (30 Dec 2017) it has reached 1,429,690 total downloads and grows by the minute. While I didn’t do it alone, much of the back end and Vision to keep it going, I took on by myself. Your support provided the Why and I worked tirelessly to figure out the How. As I launched a LIVE steam simultaneously on 5 platforms last night, I sat with an overwhelming sense of pride knowing that we were reaching even more people. Since I made Goal, all I wanted to do was convey the belief that losing weight was actually possible. The addition of a 5th stream meant reaching the rest of the world where they were, rather than waiting for them to join the 104,426+ of you following along on the 5 major social media networks, plus Connect. When Episode 153 ended, I realized - I’m in over my head. The photo captures my excitement, but confirmed that I’ve gone nuts. I’m at a cross roads in this journey and it’s time to make some serious decisions as it relates to the show, but how does one go from here, to there. I’ve already exceeded any expectations, especially since I started with none. The emails you’ve sent, are incredible. I get more email than I can respond to. My social media is solid, yet all I have time for is skimming and reading. I curate the content that moves me, and I push it back out in the form of a Podcast. I know that alone is not good enough. You want more, you deserve more. I’ve decided that you are worth it. The demonstration of need drives me. You’ve given me a stage, a taste of the responsibility and all I want to do is walk with you and watch you succeed. As I share in your excitement, I realize there are hundreds more who have yet to find that excitement. It’s my true desire to reach them that prompts this message. I’ve scheduled a series of meetings the first weeks in January with industry experts. I want to see if we have what it takes to change the world. I need a podcast producer, I need a social media team, I need audio engineers, and an equipment list that I’m not even smart enough to google. I need a dedicated studio so I can record the show during some normal hours, and also so that my family doesn’t have to run and hide as I yell, “5 minutes til showtime”. I need to fulfill a dream that was handed to me. That dream brings you with me and we search for lost souls and invite them into our world. I’ve never had the opportunity to Dream Big before so it scares me to try it now. All of this takes a leap of faith. It takes a belief that what I’m doing has value. A value you’ve confirmed and I understand in its current state. There is however an unknown potential. The unknown potential can only be realized if I dare to push beyond what I believe is good enough and just go for it. I did exactly that with my weight loss, and that turned out pretty good. It’s has always been about the vision and the reach. Everything I’ve done to this point, was added when I said, “If I could reach one more person - if I could save one more life”. It’s time. The longer I live as a fit/athletic person suffering from obesity the more I learn about this disease. It wasn’t until I tried living as a skinny person did I come to have a much better understanding of the true picture. You see, I’ve been an overweight, fluffy, fat, big boned, manly, obese person most of my adult life, and although I’ve shed the pounds, I have not shed the disease. My name is Mike, and I suffer from obesity! I’ve never been to medical school, and admittedly I’ve just recently taken an interest in this subject, but I have a lifetime of experience that I am trying to figure out. As a New Year’s Resolution in 2016 I decided I was tired of being fat and I fixed it. The funny thing is, I made that same resolution in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012... you get the idea. So why was 2016 different for me? I wanted to find out how to convey that mindset adjustment so that others can benefit. I figure out it was “management”. Since 9/20/2016, I have declared that I won, because I was no longer Fat. I hover in a weight range that keeps me around 18% body fat- a stat that while I can improve, I’m actually quite proud of. I can go run 13 miles with little preparation, or I can run a 5k right at 21 minutes. I workout at least weekly, often times more. I’m a huge success! I can score an “excellent” on my Air Force Fitness Test, any time, and day. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished but that pride breeds contentment. Contentment gets in the way of wanting to push a little harder, or is it something else? I’ve found that if I divert all of my energy into getting fit, working out and eating right I can have success. Well, success if you’re strictly judging me as at a fit person who used to be fat. The truth is that other areas of my life started to get neglected. Being a great employee takes focus, being a great friend takes focus, being a great parent and husband all take focus. Any area with great success takes great Focus. With only so much focus to give, I need to find a better balance. For the month of December my attention was needed in some of the areas that temporarily were second and third place behind “FatDag”. As I tried to keep all of the balls in the air, I realized I just can’t do it all, and therefore a new term has emerged into my vocabulary. “Managed Obesity”. I quickly learned that, even today, I can and will overeat if I don’t manage my intake. I do not naturally crave the foods that are good for me. I’ve made great improvements, but the introduction of Weight Watchers Freestyle™️ has taught me quite a bit. In a month where my focus was needed elsewhere, my WW plan changed as well. It was the wake up call I needed. Although I am fit, it is solely because I’ve managed to focus all of my attention towards controlling my behavior. At the first introduction to Freestyle, months before it was publicly released, I began to sweat. As I looked over the list of Zero Point Foods, very little from the list excited me. As others in the room cheered and applauded, I began to internally unravel. Rather than adjust to the new plan, I secretly protested. I stayed in my routine and ignored the point deficit in my tracker and I couldn’t care less about 180 of the now 200 Zero Point Foods. I don’t handle change very well, and that’s when I figure out I’m still obese living in a smaller body. My mind and body craves fat, sugar and processed foods. My favorite foods can be ordered by number and delivered through the car window. I’ve found a way to make it all work - yet this freestyle concept was anything but freeing to me! I’m not mad about the change, I’m quite thankful actually. It’s forced me to look deeper into my journey and get honest with myself. Knowing that at a moments notice it could all unravel at the sight of #5, reminds me that it was the proper management, not a lifestyle adjustment, that made me successful. As long as I took the time to manage my obesity I could keep it from being visibly apparent. I’m tired of just managing it. I want to naturally live it. Living as a fit, healthy adult is amazingly fun! I don’t ever want to give that up, but I have other goals in my life that I’d like to accomplish as well. Those goals are going to require intense management for awhile. The same intensity I used to lose the weight, can be used in other areas of my life. I’m hopeful that with this new plan, entering 2018, I can move away from managing this full time and into just living it. It’s going to take me adopting some solid eating foundations which will give me more time to manage some of the other areas of my life. If it weren’t for the offering of these foods at zero points they would never have made it onto my plate. The one thing that I’m confident in, is my ability to prioritize. Regardless of where I focus on improving myself, the common theme is that I am and always will be the priority. It takes a steady balance and by recognizing it, it gives me the Freedom to adapt. I’m in a very unfamiliar place at the moment. For the first time in my life, I have a flush of emotions that I can not define, and therefore am unable to resolve. I’m in a good place, a very good place, but the emotion is not excitement. It’s a mixture of fear and pressure combined with confidence and pride. My father served our nation for 23 years in the United States Navy. I was born at the Weapons Station in Charleston, SC and although the hospital I was born in no longer exists, the patriotism they delivered that day is stronger than ever. I was raised to love this country and the hardworking people who call this land home. The President I was born under - I didn’t vote for, yet that never mattered. What mattered is, as a family, we take care of each other and as a nation, we are a family. As I navigated my way through grade school, moving every few years - meeting and accepting new people was a practice I became good at. In order to make friends, you had to be a friend. My love for our nation grew right alongside my love for its people. My first attempt to join the military left me rejected. I vividly remember coming home from the physical, going into my room and laying from one corner to the other, across my bed. My shoes hung off the left side, and face down I drenched my pillow with a river of broken dreams. I remember my mom trying to comfort me, yet nothing she said made it better. I prayed for the opportunity to serve - “I’ll do whatever it takes” and I meant it. As I attempted to re-invent myself, I quickly learned that a college degree was not in the cards either. After a second consecutive semester making the “Dean’s List”  (no, not that one - the other one) he politely made room on the campus for someone else to fulfill their dreams. My medical enlistment waiver could not have been more a timely lifesaver. Off I went, into the Wild Blue Yonder! I became whole again. The above and beyond work that my recruiter, MSgt Mona Naragon did to simply give me a chance, forever shaped my life. As I traveled the globe, I came to realize just how special our piece of the planet truly is. It’s unlike any other place on Earth and it’s worth defending, even if it cost me my life. I became incredibly grateful for the opportunities that were afforded to me by our nation. My initial patriotism grew in intensity - I fully and finally realized what makes our nation so special is its citizens and the men and women who give their all to defend it. I became a military recruiter.  It was imperative that our way of life be protected, and I took it upon myself to ensure there would always be someone here to preserve our freedom. I processed waiver after waiver and if anyone wanted to join me, I did my best to give them the opportunity. It pained me when I was unable to enlist a patriot who was unqualified to serve. I led the nation in accessions my first year and I continue that successful career today 17 years later.  My career, our nation, was threatened by an enemy I had failed to identify. Years before, flying into Bosnia, taking on small arms fire, didn’t have the same impact on me as failing my fitness assessment did. I had accepted and calculated that risk, and was I prepared to do what our nation called upon me to do. However, when I failed a series of fitness assessments, I felt like I let my country down. No matter how much I knew it, no matter how hard I tried, there was a missing link in my brain that connected my fitness ability to the mission. I eventually figured it out. I don’t fully grasp how I figured it out, but I know with more clarity than I’ve ever had, I need to deliver this message to leaders and policy makers on behalf of our nation. When the invitation arrived to deliver my testimony to Washington, DC I accepted without hesitation.  I didn’t fully understand just what I had agreed to do until just moments ago as I began to key these letters together to form words.  Once I landed in our Nation’s Capital, I wanted to spend the day preparing. For the most part, I just considered this to be another opportunity to tell my story.  It’s a story I’ve told a few times to other members of the military who could easily relate to much of what I struggled with.  Speaking to an audience has never bothered me, and in this case, I have a firm grasp of the content.  It’s a story of my life - the details are vivid and I don’t need a script.  I’ve briefed Generals and audiences in excess of 10 thousand.  From a pressure and confidence standpoint, this was sure to be no different.  Nonetheless, I wanted to mentally prepare myself.   I made my way to the Capitol building - if change is going to happen, it’s going to happen here. I needed to visualize it, and being there was imperative. I’ve seen the building many times before, it has always been a symbol of our country, but as I stood there this time, it looked different.  I truly saw it as the starting point for the change I wish to make happen.  From there, the next stop was the White House.  The beginning and end of the change process would happen within these two buildings.  The fact that I was solely responsible for initiating this change dropped a heavy burden squarely on my shoulders. I’m in a very unique position to advocate for the change I want to see in the world. I confidently feel, there is no one better to deliver this message, at this time.  I’ve been given the stage, I’ve been given the right audience yet I am just the messenger. If I fail to deliver the message properly, there may never be another opportunity like this. Our leaders are busy, if my voice, the collective voice from our community, does not make an impact, another topic will quickly make its way through the change process. It was this realization that brings about a sense of fear and responsiblity I have never experienced before. Feeling the weight of the word on my shoulders, I headed to Arlington National Cemetery to be amongst the most heroic people I know. I came seeking their strength, courage and guidance. Dressed in only jeans and a tshirt, I was not fully prepared to spend the December afternoon outside.  I entered the sacred ground and without direction headed to Section 60.  I’ve been here a few times so I confidently navigated my way to Major Troy Gilbert’s gravesite.   Major Gilbert inspires me by the way that he led his life, and the way that he raised his family to be the catalyst for change.  If anyone here knew what I was up against, this hero would be the one who is able to guide me.   The walk to see him was chilly, my intentions were to make a quick appearance, gather my thoughts and head back to the city.  We began to chat, I rambled on and then I stood quietly.  The confusion continued, and Troy offered me a seat, to spend some time really talking it out.  The long periods of silence were only interrupted by my incoherent ramblings.  I visited with him until I had the answers that I needed.  I didn’t realize it, but I was there for a full hour. I fought back the tears as I sat there for a bit and eventually I layed down beside him.  It was extremely peaceful and I was comforted by a blanket of warmth that can only be described as heavenly.  I came seeking this hero's guidance and I did not leave there disappointed.  I exchanged a text message with his family, to thank them for his sacrifice, his guidance and to warn them, that if they get to meet him again before I do, he will likely ask them who I am and why do I just sit there and ramble so much.   I found my answers. The message is simple.  We have a great nation, we need to take care of each other, we are in this together and we are family.  The best way to preserve our way of life is to ensure that the men and women who dedicate their life, in whole or in part, to her defense are cared for.  This provides the foundational walls for which the rest of our nation can thrive. I stood, snapped a crisp salute and began my walk back to the entrance.  It wasn’t 10 feet into my return that the temperature caught back up with me.  It was an unmistakable sign that my time spent preparing for this journey had been orchestrated from above. There is no one more qualified nor more prepared to be the messenger for change. My prayers have been answered, I’ve been tapped on the shoulder and it’s time to make a difference. When I begged for the opportunity to serve, I said I would do ‘whatever it takes’.   I’m doing whatever it takes!

As you may have heard - I’m traveling to DC next week to sit in some high level meetings regarding the Obesity crisis affecting our military. I can not explain how honored I am to be able to take the next step in making a change in the world. From the moment I realized my life was different when I made Goal - I wanted to make sure that everyone knew - making Goal is possible for EVERYONE! Yes even you! I’m nervous, I’m swamped, trying to prepare and make sure I simply be me - but I’m a different me than I was before. I feel like I have one chance to make an impact that is so desperately needed and having that responsibility resting on my shoulders is humbling. It scares me a little..... but... I’m ready. Boy am I ready! The two years we’ve been together here you’ve prepped me for this. The stage you’ve given me has trained me to understand the issue from numerous perspectives. Two years ago I would have gone into this meeting with just my knowledge. Now - I will walk into the meeting as the voice of 85k people - and represent hundreds of thousands more. Thank you. It started like any other day - it ended like one of my long forgotten days. I woke up yesterday on Fire and ready to hit the gym for a new workout. I feel incredible and want to take my fitness to the next level. I just returned from a week long trip feeling so proud of my choices. The scale was even down when I checked in the moment I got back. Being on the road, being social and driving didn’t break me. The habits and routines that carried me to Goal, carried me through this week of travel flawlessly. I did not have a chance to workout while I was away so, my body craved a good workout. My reward was a new gym! I had found a new fitness facility that challenged me. The introductory workout left me incredibly sore for 4 days. I loved it! So after being away I wanted to go back and push myself again! I took to the bags, punching, kicking, left hook - right hook. Side kicks, row boats, squats, speed bag, I gave it my all. I felt like a beast and was so glad to have the stamina and strength to go after some new goals. I WAS A MACHINE! I hadn’t planned properly though. The workout left me very hungry. When I got home, I didn’t have my typical protein breakfast - I hadn’t restocked from my trip, but I was hungry. My body needed fuel. What I did next, set off the entire day. I fueled it improperly. We went to breakfast and I chose a meal I hadn’t had in a very long time. I used to eat it daily - so I assumed it would “fill me up”. It didn’t. It set off a chain reaction of me chasing sugar and junk for the entire day in an attempt to fuel me back up. Every other opportunity to eat that followed, I accepted, trying to fuel the body, and it kept being the wrong fuel so I never felt satisfied. The cycle continued. When the social calendar collided with the improper plan, I found myself at BWW at 12:00am and left when they started moving the tables around us to clean. I couldn’t get enough fuel yesterday because I never gave me fuel. I was so full last night at 1:30am I literally couldn’t eat another bite - even though I tried. That didn’t deter me. I woke up - got on my scale and now I’m starting a new day - a lot sore from my workout, but so educated on the need for the proper food and the impact it has on me! We had a great day - so much fun - I wouldn’t change a thing, because yesterday taught me some important lessons that I need as I go for some new fitness goals. I took good notes! I’m now off to the store for the fuel I need to carry me back to my goal. If I’m gonna workout like a champ - I have to eat like one! FatDag

Life can be funny sometimes - if you let it! Yesterday I had one of the best days I've had in a long time. It started with a haircut - meeting one of my amazing leaders, weighing in and then seeing my picture in the WW magazine for the first time and ended with a FB live session I've posted on my website FatDag.com I decided to have a little fun with the magazine on connect and almost got kicked out of Barnes and Noble for "starting a spontaneous autograph session without permission"! I'm kidding no one said a word, - because we took the photo quickly and ran  ;)  😂 Here's the take away.  I've withheld my ability to have fun because of my weight for years. It's an internal struggle I've had but I never wanted to call attention to myself because I knew as others would describe the events they would eventually have to say "and then the really fat guy..... said, did, whatever."  The easiest way to describe me to the police, if it came to that, was by my size first and my actions second. So I held back and tried my best to go unnoticed. My weight had defined me in so many ways to strangers who didn't yet know me.  I no longer have that hanging over, or on me. I'm "new and improved" and "fat free". I'm enjoying life and now if someone comes up with an adjective to describe me, I can dispute it as subjective. It's a matter of their opinion if I'm ugly, my jokes are lame, my fashion sense is off, my hair is a mess..... all of those are disputable and I get to cast my own vote! But no matter what, I can no longer be called fat in the derogatory sense, and that has set me free! I've wanted this for so long and now I'm enjoying every single second of it. There's more to this than just a cup of strawberries. This reflects the lifestyle change we talk so often about. I like chick fil a. My favorite is the nuggets - not the grilled ones. The real deal. With a Coke, BBQ sauce, fries and ketchup. I would eat them at least once a week and have for many years. It was one thing I was not willing to compromise on. As I was working the plan this meal became harder and harder to fit into the point allowance. First I gave up the soda willingly. Then I went to a small fry willingly. Then I dropped the ketchup willingly. Next I switch the fries for a fruit cup. I then began getting all strawberries. I dropped the BBQ sauce. I figured out that what was important to me was the chicken, not all the extras. I have taken this meal from 30+ points to 9. I'm fully in control and made the adjustment gradually and willingly. Last night after my ww meeting I went once again and it wasn't until I was eating did I realize that my automatic reaction to "next in line please" was the fruit cup, strawberries only and a bottle water. No thank you to sauce ;) This is the lifestyle part. It happened gradually because I stayed on plan to let the learning process work. If you had told me on day one I HAD to give this meal up - I would have said "not going to do it" - but to learn that I made the adjustment on my own is powerful. Tracking everything, ketchup included, and not eating points when I was out of points changed my life for the better.

I recently went to an Indiana Pacers Basketball game - Look at the Pacers height and weight charts.      When I started I was about a foot shorter than most of them. I also weighed more than all but one. I was 263 and 5'11 - I wouldn't have made the team. My BMI was 36.7 Obese. I thought I wanted to set a goal of 189 but my leader convinced me to not settle for a goal outside of my normal BMI. I now have a normal BMI of 24.4 and I love it. Before I started I didn't think a normal BMI was possible for me. It would leave me too skinny and no "man" has a normal BMI - that's what I kept lying to myself.  Sure it's not for everyone - but it worked for me and I only realized it because I dared to try. The truth is I didn't know if it would or wouldn't work - I just assumed it wouldn't and that was limiting my potential.    Look at the height and weight of the pacers. In order I've computed their BMI: 27.9 Overweight 23.1 Normal 27.3 Overweight 23.1 Normal 24.6 Normal 30.2 Obese 26.6 Overweight 25.8 Overweight 25.7 Overweight 30.5 Obese 24.9 Normal 23.9 Normal 25.5 Overweight 23.8 Normal 24.3 Normal 7 of them have a normal BMI 2 of them are considered Obese 6 of them are overweight So can you be healthy without a normal BMI? Of course you can.  Can you have a normal BMI and still look/feel great? Of course! Figure out where your body is most happy, but don't stop before you truly are where your body is capable of being!   Go Team!

On the first day that I went to the mail box, there were 17 cards from you guys! That is fantastic and I can not thank you enough. I plan to use them at an upcoming speaking engagement to demonstrate the power of Love, and to provide a glimpse of Hope.  When I decided this time that I really needed to lose weight - I didn't start with the same level of hope that I found during the process.  That level of hope was cultivated through your support and watching you succeed by not giving up!  You believed in me, before I believed in me! That was extremely powerful and I want to replicate that action. Next month, as I address a group of our Nation's military,  I want to hand them these cards to give them hope.  They are engaged in a battle for their lives.  They need to lose weight and get fit in order to continue to serve our nation so proudly.  I want to let them know that not only do I believe they can do it,  but you believe it, as well!   Thank you for helping me carry out this very important task! One of the hardest things we will ever do is change a habit.  Regardless of what that habit is.  In order to call it a habit, that means it's something we do on a regular basis.  Over Eating, Stress Eating, Binge Eating, Smoking, Cursing or all kinds of other things fall into this category. As we shift our focus to a healthy lifestyle, we need to change a lot of those habits - by staying focused - I mean laser focused - is not easy - but it is critical. A great friend of mine Chris, just recently introduced me to the Law of Attraction, also referred to as Syncronicity, a term I knew but didn't fully embrace properly.   The law of attraction says whatever you focus on, you attract.  So if you remain positive, positive energy will begin to come your way more often. It's significantly more detailed than this, but for the sake of brevity I want to give you a tool to help you stay focused, without boring you to death.  Watch how the law of attraction and synchronicity remind you that you are on the right path. A path to a better you! Look at your weight loss journey.  How many pounds have you lost currently?  What is your first weight goal?  Pick a number.  If you've lost 15lbs use 15.  If your goal is 145 pick 145.   The number isn't as critical as the focus. Find a number that means something to you! Now that you have that number - concentrate on it.  Begin looking to see how often that number shows up in your life.  A license plate on the car that just drove by you, will end in your number - or begin with your number.    Your cash register receipt will have a number sequence that will contain your number.  The mileage on your car will have that number.  Your daily steps will reveal that number, It will suddenly appear everywhere as you shift your focus to you. I want you to focus on what matters most and that is your ultimate happiness as you work to become a better you.  Look all around you for your number and each time you see it, it will be confirmation that you are on the right path.  When it does - tweet it to me, send me an email OnAir@FatDag.com tag me on Facebook, or Connect - I want to share in your journey as well.
