Hour 1
We start the show with news that Donald Trump won the election. Boomer said we still have a ton of troubles locally in New York with our mayor. Boomer credited Elon Musk and Twitter with helping Trump get elected. Gio talked about the issues that he thought swayed the election and had people going to Trump who voted for Biden in the previous election. Once again, the poll predictions were completely off as they were in 2016. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the sounds of Brian Cashman. He talked to Scott Boras about Juan Soto and Pete Alonso. David Stearns talked about how long it takes for free agency signings to happen. The Jets traded Mike Williams to the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers was on McAfee when it happened. Dak Prescott is going to the IR and Jerry Jones was asked about starting Trey Lance. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about teams players don’t want to play for. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer wonders why it takes some states so long to count votes. Most people had an easy experience voting, but some waited over 3 hours. Gio wonders how long you keep your lawn sign up if you support the winner or the loser. Tom Brady seems to be listening to his critics which Gio didn’t think he would do. Brady dropped a Teddy Roosevelt quote on social media. Gio wonders what’s going on in the Chiefs luxury box with the Mahomes mom and wife liking Trump, and Taylor Swift liking Kamala Harris.
Hour 2
Of all the offseasons for pro sports, baseball is the worst. Look at the difference between NFL free agency and baseball free agency. There is so much waiting for baseball deals to get done. Gio thinks Steve Cohen does have a limit with what he will spend, especially seeing how well the Mets did with this past season’s team. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Jets trading Mike Williams to the Steelers. Aaron Rodgers talked about the Jets making a run to string some wins together. Bill Belichick was asked about teams committing too many penalties. Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco talked about Gisele being pregnant already. Ocho talked about ‘post nut clarity’. Brian Cashman talked about the Yankees losing the World Series and said they had a good team they just didn’t play their best at the time. In the final segment of the hour, the Giants are actually favored this week against the Panthers. It’s the first time since week 2 of last year at Arizona. It’s been 24 games since they’ve been favored.
Hour 3
Phil Simms joins us in his regular Wednesday spot. He’s going to Germany with the Giants this weekend. Gio told Phil he needs to learn how to say, ‘this game sucks’ in German. Phil said this is not the same QB draft class as last year. We talked a lot about quarterbacks in the NFL. Phil said the Giants will win if the defense dominates the Panthers offense. Jerry returns for an update and starts with James Jones on FS1 calling out Dak Prescott for quitting on the Cowboys. Lamar Jackson talked about tomorrow night’s ‘dog fight’ against the Bengals tomorrow night. Jerry has audio of Maddog Russo ranking George Washington vs Abe Lincoln. Brian Cashman talked about meeting with Scott Boras about Juan Soto. In the final segment of the hour, we will soon have a cool announcement for our live show on Long Island. Tom Izzo is taking the role of Spike telling us we drank too much at the previous shows.
Hour 4
Somebody sent an email asking people not to talk about the election in the office. We talked about Donald Trump winning the election in both the electoral and popular vote. Boomer said America always seems to straighten itself out. Boomer called it the greatest political comeback ever. Gio said he and his wife are in a battle in the house about what to set the temperature at. Gio wants the Jets to win to get some juice, but he doesn’t want to be strung along by a fraud.
