For episode 2 of "Love YA Like Crazy," Carrie and Jake discuss Daniel PInkwater's novelette 'Young Adult Novel', which can be found in a couple of different collections and anthologies. We also read our additions to the epic story that is "Kevin Shapiro, Boy Orphan."

Spoilers abound, so we recommend reading the book before listening! You will also find lots of 80s talk, descriptions of being the worst in high school, an answer to the question of what it is that Jake made Carrie read exactly, and plentiful swearing.

In the next episode, we'll be discussing a Nancy Drew novel: "The Hidden Staircase" by Carolyn Keene, which is available in a bunch of different formats from Amazon. We've also assigned ourselves some homework: Is there another way the book could have ended, or a different solution, that we would have enjoyed?
