The New York Yankees take two from the Boston Red Sox in a doubleheader sweep at Fenway Park! In the first game, the Yankees came back to take the lead and hold on in the bottom of the ninth, even after Clay Holmes walked the bases loaded with only one out. Thankfully, Alex Verdugo swung at the first pitch, Gleyber Torres turned a great double play, and the Yankees prevailed. In Game Two, Carlos Rodon rebounded from a lead-off home run in the first inning to keep Boston to that one run in five innings with nine strikeouts. Estevan Florial tied the game, and the Yankees added insurance runs in the top of the ninth to secure the sweep. They’re now tied with Boston at 73-72 with two more games to play in this series. We take a look at Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Japanese righty Brian Cahsman was scouting this past week who threw a no-hitter for the Orix Buffaloes in front of Cashman, Omar Minaya, and other MLB executives.
