Queensland will be tipped into deficit as the state's Labor government fights to extend its nine years in power with a big-spending, pre-election budget.

The state's Treasurer Cameron Dick yesterday unveiled $11-billion in cost-of-living relief including energy rebates, cuts to public transport fares, and changes to stamp duty for first home buyers.
