The Chicago White Sox beat the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday night by a score of 4-2. The Sox snapped a five game losing streak. Prior to the game, the White Sox released a statement saying that manager Tony La Russa will be out indefinitely due to medical issues. During La Russa's absence, bench coach Miguel Cairo will step in as acting manager. The White Sox managed to get back in the win column thanks to terrific pitching by starter Lance Lynn. He went seven innings and only gave up 4 hits, one of them being a solo home run. AJ Pollock and Elvis Andrus provided the offense as they each hit a home run. Jose Abreu finished the month strong with an RBI single. The White Sox go for the series win on Thursday afternoon.
