With the Andrew Benintendi signing, the Chicago White Sox finally have a left fielder to play left field. The White Sox were not supposed to be throwing money at their problems but that's exactly what they did when they signed Benintendi to a 5 yr./$75 million dollar deal recently. The Sox get a proven defender, a lefty bat and also gave Benintendi the richest contract in the franchise history. Benintendi will be reunited with coaches from his Kansas City Royals days such as Pedro Grifol, Mike Tosar and Eddie Rodriguez. The White Sox have coveted Benintendi since missing out on him in the 2015 MLB draft. Instead of operating via the trade market, Grifol and Hahn must have convinced owner Jerry Reinsdorf to live a little and spend on a free agent to address one of their glaring needs. Now what about second base?
