After discovering Sarah's cash inheritance, Liam McAtasney, one of Sarah's close friends, and Liam's friend Preston Taylor plotted to kill Sarah, stage a suicide, and run off with the money. Almost 3 years after Sarah disappeared, Liam and Preston were brought to justice.
