California’s bullet train project was designed to get people from San Francisco to Los Angeles in less than three hours. But after years of legal and financial battles, the future of that full project is unclear. For now, the California High-Speed Rail Authority is focused on building the route from Merced to Bakersfield. Frustrated residents and landowners in the Central Valley fear the state is tearing up land for a rail line that may never be fully finished. Guest: Alex Hall, KQED Central Valley reporter. Read her full story on construction of the high-speed rail line at KQED.org.
