The US House has just voted to ban TikTok if it's not sold by Chinese company ByteDance, citing security concerns. Now there's growing pressure on the Australian government to consider doing the same.

Communications Minister Michelle Rowland says Australia is continuing to "monitor" developments and noted there was an investigation being undertaken by the privacy commissioner into TikTok's handling of personal information.
