Welcome to the latest edition of WIIM Radio! I’m joined by Lauren and Mike B on this week’s episode to talk all things Red Wings. Here’s what we got up to: The Wings Since We Last: Two wins and three losses since we last recorded, we’ve got a five-game span to go over to start things off. It’s not terribly surprising, but at least the Sharks and Canes wins were fun times. The Florida loss wasn’t so awful, but the bookends with Chicago and Boston are the bad ones. At least the kids are learning. Speaking of that though, what’s up with those kids losing out on ice time lately? What’s going on with Tomas Tatar lately? Most importantly, what are we looking for out of the last 30 games of the season for the Wings? The Scouting Game: We take a look at the trade targets and potential destinations for the guys we’re getting rid of. Washington, Tampa, Toronto, The Islanders, and even Vegas are all out there as potentials. We talk about landing spots for Green, the thin goalie market, where the picks are, and the idea of Athanasiou being simultaneously a trade asset and an untouchable. Quickly Around the League: Alex Burrows is trash (link to suspension video). Positivity Corner: Shortly after approaching sadness lane, we saunter into positivity corner to remind ourselves there is goodness in this world. Reader Questions: Mostly trade questions with one very bad question asked by Jeff. Looking Ahead: The Wings face off against the Isles and Caps in the short-run and then have a pretty busy February ahead.     As always, WIIM Radio is rated R for language and fishing without a permit.  Learn more about your ad choices.
