San Francisco Giants fans who watched Jung Hoo Lee's introductory press conference today by and large seemed to fall in love with the 25-year-old center fielder from Korea. Jung Hoo Lee made several opening remarks in English, including an excited "Let's go Giants!" at the end. Lee later coyly asked, "Handsome?" after he donned an SF Giants jersey and hat for the first time. The Giants signed Lee to a 6-year, $113 million contract with an opt-out after four years, and only time will tell if it pans out. But for now, Jung Hoo Lee made a great and refreshing impression on SF Giants fans desperate for players to grow attached to again.
