Submit ReviewChris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, is joined by Josh Taylor of 93.7 The Fan and KDKA-TV.
Mike Tomlin basically confirmed the Pittsburgh Steelers WOULD NOT be firing Matt Canada from offensive coordinator, and Keith Butler might be OUT at defensive coordinator. These commitments put the Steelers in an interesting position in the start of the era after Ben Roethlisberger's retirement. What sense does it make bringing back Canada to work with Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth in a completely reworked offensive line? We look at the reasons for Canada.
Also, if Butler is gone as defensive coordinator, who's his replacement? The obvious answer is an internal hire, defensive backs coach Teryl Austin, who has experience as a good defensive coordinator and shows why the Steelers' history of hiring internally has worked more often than not.
