The New York Yankees dropped another one to the Toronto Blue Jays, but it wasn’t Michael King’s fault. The right-hander had a career-high in pitches (101) and innings (7) while striking out a season-high (for the Yankees) 13 batters. Unfortunately, the bullpen and offense didn’t help him out, but he was the lone bright spot for the Yankees on Wednesday. Stacey and Steve discuss where they think King could end up in the rotation in 2024. Then they discuss Jasson Dominguez’s Tommy John surgery, which was performed on Wednesday in Arlington, Texas, and was successful. He also had an internal brace put in, which speeds up recovery, so it’s possible you could see him back with the Yankees around the All-Star Break in 2024 (if everything goes right). Stacey and Steve talk about other position players who have had Tommy John, including Gleyber Torres, to give you an idea of what happens when a non-pitcher gets the surgery and recovers from it.
