Recently the election results of Muyiwa Oki becoming the next president-elect of the RIBA made a ripple throughout the industry that the status-quo may be finally changing.With that in mind, would it be a step too far to imagine next on the horizon in the Architecture Industry is for workers to unionise?UVW-SAW (SAW) collectively take action and fight against the negative impacts of architectural work on workers, communities, and the environment.SAW is looking to organise both in their workplaces and across the sector around overwork, under-pay, unstable employment, a toxic workplace and university culture, discrimination and unethical practice.Join me in an open discussion where you can learn and ask questions to SAW about who they are and why they are collectively fighting to unionize Architecture.
