After a busy offseason for the Carolina Panthers there's seemingly only one more thing to do: sign Pro Bowl EDGE rusher Brian Burns to a long-term contract. Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer has had multiple opportunities to trade Burns and declined. He also stated that "Burns will be here" when discussing the upcoming negotiations. Julian Council examines when fans should anticipate a deal to get done between the two sides.

Burns isn't the only Panther without a multiyear contract. First-overall pick Bryce Young and second-round selection Jonathan Mingo have yet to come to terms on their rookie deals.
