Submit ReviewRoberta Lombardi was diagnosed at 49 with Stage I, Triple Positive breast cancer in 2016. In 2018 she founded Infinite Strength — a nonprofit which provides financial and emotional support to underrepresented single mothers living with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). In this episode Roberta reads her essay “When Two Worlds Collide” from Wildfire Magazine’s 2023 “Five Years & Counting” issue. Her piece is about how she transformed into an early stage ally and advocate serving the metastatic breast cancer community. April and Roberta will discuss the importance of early stage allyship, MBC advocate Lisa Laudico’s impact on Robert’s Infinite Strength work, and lessons learned 5+ years out from a cancer diagnosis. They will also discuss self-care while working in cancer, and advice for those starting businesses in the advocacy space.
