Submit ReviewRegular Chelsea FanCast contributor and esteemed Chelsea author, Mark Worrall, joins Stamford Chidge to talk about his new book “When Skies Are Grey: Super Frank, Chelsea & the Corona Virus Crisis”.
Stamford Chidge and Mark Worrall discuss his latest book “When Skies Are Grey: Super Frank, Chelsea & the Corona Virus Crisis” which offers a chronicle of Chelsea's 2019/20 season in granular detail.
"When Skies are Grey" is set in the context of the return of Super Frank Lampard, Chelsea's best ever player and record goal scorer, as manager of a club faced with the loss of Eden Hazard, their best player and having to turn to the talented young players due to a transfer ban and then the corona virus bringing a perfunctory end to actually attending matches in person. The book explores themes such as 'simpatico'; how Chelsea managed a 'factory reset'; as well as Mark's real time, day to day musings on what happened both on and off the pitch during this unique season.
Along the way, they discuss what it meant to them when the unthinkable happened and their Chelsea was taken away.
“When Skies Are Grey: Super Frank, Chelsea & the Corona Virus Crisis” is available in paperback worldwide via Amazon. For more info here click on this link: https://amzn.to/2Fox4jG
£1 from every copy sold goes to the Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, who have benefited greatly from the generosity of match going fans through collections organised by Chelsea Supporters' Trust held at the cfcuk stall. It has been a big miss for them not having the match day collections so any money raised through the sale of the book would be extremely welcome.
