As Christopher Hope puts his feet up for Christmas, we are resurfacing one of our favourite episodes from our time in the Red Lion this year. Chopper sat down with the UK’s best-known television historian, Dr David Starkey to find out how Brexit will go down in history - and ended up covering pretty much everything besides.

In a wide-ranging chat, Starkey explains why he puts many of the UK’s problems down to paying MPs a salary and reveals why he believes Remembrance Sunday commemorations have gone overboard. And, never one to mince his words, he tells Christopher he’s “subscribing to trash” in calling Boris Johnson’s prorogation move at the end of the summer "unusual".
