It's that time of year again...Happy Valentines Day, Everyone! ... or ... ...Happy Hallmark Holiday, Everyone! This week's show is one Lexi and I did back a couple of years ago specifically about Valentines Day and all the fun and controversy that go along with it ... since the content of the show matters just as much now as then, I have decided to re-introduce you to it. Valentines Day ... Good or Bad? Lexi and I REALLY looking forward to talking about this particular day...why?... ...because it brings about so much needless nonsense or creates so many expectations that should never exist. There is a big PROBLEM with Valentines Day. And, well, it's that the day exists in the first place. However, do not fret, my friend, Lexi and I are here to help...here to put forward the ultimate SOLUTION to the problem. We with share with you how YOU can make Valentines Day something that works for you! Bottom line is...this day ain't going nowhere...so, make it work for you...one of those "can't beat em', join em'" situations. We talk about how Valentines Day has become a day to sell candy, flowers and jewelry...basically, how it is now defined by our society. And, most importantly, how you will be TOTALLY SCREWED if you don't at least acknowledge the day to your significant other... ...EVEN IF BOTH OF YOU HATE THE FACT THE DAY EVEN EXISTS... The message, or real meaning of Valentines Day has really been watered down over the years and now creates a lot of problems for those of us who hate to conform or do something because everyone else is doing it... So, having some level of agreement that this day blows...how can you make it something that is actually a cool thing....whether you are in a relationship or single? Making Valentines Day work for You It's all about defining this day by what it means to you (or both of you as a couple) and making a pact to customize your Valentines Day life experience. ...hopefully that will include NO heart shaped boxes of bad chocolate and flowers... ...seriously dude, get her flowers ANY OTHER DAY but Valentines Day... Honestly, flowers and chocolate as presents immediately show un-originality and a lack of really "knowing" who your girl is and what would be a much more personal gift... Also remember, the problem and solution of Valentines Day is different depending on HOW LONG you've been in the relationship. And, it will obviously be different if you are single...but for GOD'S SAKE...please don't pull the "anti" card... The trick is to understand there are some people in your inner circle that put a price on this day...so you have to figure out who then acknowledge it to them in your own special way.
