Our major supermarkets have faced some controversy lately; accused of price gouging customers, stifling competitors and ripping off suppliers.

An investigation by Four Corners earlier this week showed a CEO walking out of a sit-down interview, followed by a subsequent announcement that same CEO would be retiring.

But what is price gouging? And why is the announcement of a CEO retiring so controversial?

In this episode of The Quicky we investigate what our supermarkets are doing and whether we, as the consumers, can be hopeful for improvements in pricing transparency and affordability when we get to the checkouts.
