On today's episode, I'm chatting with a British recording artist, songwriter and producer. Born in Nottingham, this week's guest's very first memory of music is being given a Pink Floyd CD by his Dad. Discovering and experimenting with different sounds and genres, he fell in love with the guitar in his teens as a form of escapism. Coming to the conclusion that he wouldn’t be able to make his passion his day job, he ended up taking another path in life and found himself working for Parliament in London. Surrounding himself with like-minded people in the capital, he began making music again for fun and it was then that he found his voice. From plays on BBC Radio One to tours and record deals - he shares the harsh realities of the music industry and why despite it all, he could never give it up. Here’s what it’s like to be Joel Baker.
