Submit ReviewHappy Friday, everybody! As we do every week, we just finished recording a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to offer you all of the Oilers takes and news you could ever hope to have as we head into the weekend. This week, we looked at the Oilers’ bounce-back week, preview tonight's game against the Sens, break down Ken Holland's press conference, and a whole lot more.
Kicking off today's episode, we jumped in with a look at the trade deadline, specifically the Oilers that we'd be okay to lose if push came to shove. Seeing as Edmonton is in the midst of a playoff push, answering this question was actually a lot harder than I thought and it sparked an interesting conversation regarding player value. Seeing as Ken Holland mentioned that he would be interested in finding an impact player, the list of options could be intriguing as draw nearer to the deadline. From there, we broke this week's turnaround against the Flames and Sens and tried to figure out what's changed over the past seven days. A huge part of that success has come from Dave Tippett's decision to reunite Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the top line, but we wondered if reuniting the Dynamic Duo is in the team's best interest longterm. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's show with a message of thanks from me to our listeners after riding with us over the last year in what can only be described as an insanely weird time to be alive.
