Tech News and Commentary Dave and the team discuss Samsung announcements, Spotify wars, Meta's threat to leave Europe and no one caring, Pandora ripping off comedians, streaming originals spending, Prime going up, Amazon's facility growth, and more. Our guest this hour: Martin Fishman, Director of Strategic Alliances and Enterprise at JOAN, a Visionect Company David in Atlanta, Georgia listens to the podcasts and asked: "I'm looking for a solution to login to my dad's iPad remotely so I can help him. Kind of like I do with Teamviewer on my PC. Is there such a thing for the iPad?" 11-2022-H2S1.mp3">https://media.blubrry.com/into_tomorrow/content.blubrry.com/into_tomorrow/02-11-2022-H2S1.mp3 David, no theres no such thing for an iPad. Tablets and phones sandbox apps and dont allow them to have root access, so theres no way for an app to give you remote access that would allow you to change settings or even just poke around the way you do on a PC without rooting or jailbraking the tablet (which can open you up to other problems). Your best bet here may be to start a FaceTime call and do a screenshare. You will need your dad to tap on things, but at least youll be able to guide him and hopefully help him resolve his issues. As a side effect, having to participate at least in the form of tapping things may educate him on how to troubleshoot these issues and eventually require less involvement from you, so that may be an upside of this limitation.
