We are doing it again this year! We will share some of the great episodes here on the main podcast but you should check out our feed here: https://play.disctopia.com/podcasts/dead-america-podcast-doing-napodpomo (https://play.disctopia.com/podcasts/dead-america-podcast-doing-napodpomo) Jennifer Navarrete Jennifer Navarrete is an award-winning social media community and event organizer, podcaster, virtual event producer, speaker, and entrepreneur. With a background encompassing almost all aspects of the social media landscape, she often describes herself as a "media mixologist" -- combining new technology with storytelling and community to create successful events, formulate practical success strategies for organizations, and deliver client results. She has been podcasting since 2005, and was part of the birth of podcasting as an industry. In 2007, Jennifer founded National Podcast Post Month (aka NaPodPoMo), a community event that encourages folks to create 30 podcasts in 30 days during the month of November. This event gave new podcasters a chance to "fail fast and get good" while motivating veteran podcasters to experiment with new technology and new podcast formats. This year, NaNoPodMo is celebrating its 14th anniversary of inspiring podcast innovation. With the recent popularity of live audio platforms like Clubhouse and new live audio features like Twitter Spaces, she now hosts live weekly audio sessions on both platforms. Jennifer has been featured in television and newspaper interviews on topics ranging from mobile technology to user-generated conference events to social media trends. She has spoken about podcasting and social media at conferences across the country and at local events like She Podcasters, WordCamp San Antonio and BlogItSA. Jennifer is no stranger to hosting podcasting and social media events and in October of 2019, hosted the inaugural Texas Podcast Conference (TexasPodCon) which received rave reviews. She has been featured on KENS5 Sunday AM and Great Day SA to discuss podcasting. Through her company, Brewing Media, Jennifer provides virtual event production, podcast coaching and production services, and social media coaching to agencies, entrepreneurs and non-profits. Founded in 2010, the company's services are in high demand with the continued boom of virtual events, podcasting, and social media storytelling. Whether it's helping clients set up their entire social media presence, giving them the push they need to start podcasting, or coaching them on the finer points of social media marketing, Jennifer and the team at Brewing Media bring years of diverse experience to the table. Her recent focus has been helping clients create engaging virtual conferences and podcasts around PR and Communication, financial services, specialty insurance, and professional coaching services. Clients and colleagues praise Jennifer's "unparalleled mastery of social media tools and techniques", calling her a "true expert" in social media. With a clear talent for the challenging task of organizing social media communities in the offline world, Jennifer founded the San Antonio Podcasters Group and was a co-Founder of the San Antonio chapters of two international organizations: Social Media Club and Social Media Breakfast. In addition to community groups, Jennifer was at the forefront of bringing "unconferences" (participant-driven events) to the Alamo City such as PodCamp, Barcamp, Startup Weekend, TweetCamp and MobiCamp. She has also been involved in providing social media coverage at TEDxSanAntonio, Innotech San Antonio, the EFS Business Conference, the San Antonio Manufacturer's Association, and FIRST in Texas, among many others. In 2010 she was honored with a Texas Social Media Award from the Austin-American Statesman, with the judge noting that "it's rare that you find an event in the city that hasn't been organized or touched by her in some way". Whether it's through podcasting, live-streaming, or other forms
