It’s Friday afternoon leading into the long weekend and that means we’ve got a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you make sense of everything going on with the Oilers and around the NHL. On this week’s show, we looked at the Yamamoto stalemate, NHL players heading to the Olympics, and a whole lot more.

To kick off this week's podcast, we got started with a conversation about the 2022 Olympics after the NHL announced that its players would be attending the games after missing out in South Korea three years ago. That led us to talk about who we'd love to see playing with McDavid throughout the tournament, and since the options are almost endless for Team Canada, it was interesting to hear the boys give their takes. From there, we looked at the ongoing Kailer Yamamoto situation that's developing here in Edmonton and I asked the boys if they're feeling any stress about losing the former 22nd overall pick. Sticking with the Pacific Division, we looked at how the division may play out as there has been a lot of changes for every team over the last year without even mentioning the fact that a lot of these teams haven't played each other in a while. Next up, we looked at some of the details from the NHL's vaccination policy and how strict they're being with their unvaccinated players, leaving them next to no freedom to move freely. Lastly, we finished up this week's podcast with a look at some of Connor McDavid's quotes from a quick interview he did with the NHL this past week, expressing how excited he is to get going while also giving some love to the new additions to the team.
