Marco Silva’s first competitive game at Goodison Park ended in victory as goals from Theo Walcott and Richarlison were enough to earn the Toffees all three points. Heading into Goodison you could feel a real buzz around the place. A sense of enthusiasm and realistic expectation that has been lacking for a number of years.Silva’s men delivered and despite a goal from former Liverpool striker (wouldn’t you know it) Danny Ings, Everton held on for the win playing some fabulous football along the way. The game wasn’t without controversy however as opposition manager Mark Hughes bemoaned the decision not send off Jordan Pickford for his challenge on Danny Ings.Whether Hughes was right or not is up for debate. A point very much up for discussion in the latest View from the Gwladys Street podcast. That, along with discussion and analysis of Everton’s performance, plus a preview of a tough south coast encounter against Bournemouth is all on the agenda.Other segments include discussion and debate on the futures of Ademola Lookman and Oumar Niasse, This week's show is brought to you by host Ian Croll, and guests Rob Astell, Paul Wheelock and Lee Molton.  For information regarding your data privacy, visit acast.com/privacy Learn more about your ad choices.
