Unsafe levels of arsenic have been detected in tap water at the Jacob Riis Houses, a public housing complex in the East Village. Though the latest tests have found no arsenic, residents are still instructed not to cook or drink with the water. Gwynne Hogan, reporter for WNYC and Gothamist, shares reporting on the situation.

(UPDATE: This story has developed further since this conversation. As of Saturday, 9/1/22 the water at the Jacob Riis complex has been cleared as safe to drink)
