Submit Review“Clean beauty wasn’t a thing for me. Clean beauty is all I knew.”- Nyakio Grieco
Back in 2002, before clean beauty was cool and before Black-owned beauty was considered a mainstream selling point, Nyakio Grecio set out to bring her Kenyan grandmother’s coffee scrub to the masses. Growing her eponymous brand Nyakio was of course no easy feat, but after experiencing the racial tension of last summer, she knew that her work could not stop there. Now, Nyakio has launched Thirteen Lune, a new one-stop shop for beauty primarily owned by Black founders and other founders of color. Tune in to hear her journey to launching these brands, learning to prioritize self-care, and so much more. Enjoy!
