On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we discuss the move to put Alex Goligoski on LTIR and what it allows the Wild to do while he's out of the lineup. We break down how Goligoski's AAV gets split up based on performance bonuses and actual cap space to determine how much money the Wild have available to them. We also look at why there can be ramifications next season as well depending on how it is utilized, which is why we probably haven't seen the Wild use it much over the last few years. We also discuss whether or not we may see the Wild bring Goligoski back before the playoffs so they can utilize it for the rest of the season. Turns out LTIR is pretty complicated!
