In a rather bland 2-1 shootout win over the Anaeim Ducks, Linus Ullmark provided the highlight of the night and grabbed hold of the starting gig for the Boston Bruins.

Taylor Hall shook off some lackluster early season performances and provided all of Boston's offense in the win, although it wasn't for lack of trying with respect to David Pastrnak and Jake DeBrusk, who combined for 17 shots.

On the flip side, Jack Studnicka didn't make much of a case for more playing time.

Up next: a matinee affair Saturday against the Minnesota Wild, which is also previewed here!
