Brendan Sokler, (plus Producer, Shakiel Mahjouri) brought every single important bit of violence in their coverage of UFC 263, as Israel Adesanya returned to action to defend his UFC Middleweight title against Marvin Vettori! The UFC showcased TWO TITLE FIGHTS tonight! It was going to be an all out battle for the belts between fight veterans Israel Adesanya & Marvin Vettori 2 in the main event & Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno 2 in the co-main event. The UFC 263 PPV event was broadcast by ESPN+ from the Gila River Arena, Glendale, Arizona – with a full capacity live crowd. Returning to the octagon for that main event, we had #4 ranked, Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya, entering the bout with a remarkable 20-1 record, widely regarded as one of the best strikers in MMA, coming off a Unanimous Decision loss to Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259. Adesanya was banging it out in this title fight against Marvin ‘The Italian Dream’ Vettori – for the second time around. Vettori was also the current #3 ranked Middleweight in the division and was entering the bout with his impressive 17-3 record on a 5-fight win streak. In the co-main event, we had a rematch bout between current UFC Flyweight Champion, ‘Deus Da Guerra’ Deiveson Figueiredo, & his contender, ‘The Assassin Baby’ Brandon Moreno. Figueiredo was coming at this on a 5-fight win streak, with a current 20-1 record, Meanwhile, Moreno, was ranked #1 in the division & was on a 4-fight win streak, coming at this bout with a 18-5 record. Also on the card, we had a 5-Rd Welterweight bout taking place between the #3 ranked Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards, with his 18-3 record, on an 8-fight win streak; who was matched up against the returning Nate Diaz, sporting a 20-12 record. Diaz had not fought a single bout since losing to Jorge Masvidal over the BMF Title back at UFC 244 back in Nov, 2019. These bouts will have been preceded by an extensive nine-bout undercard.
