This event on the 7th of September, 2019, the UFC went to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to bring us UFC 242, a PPV (Pay-Per-View) event, via ESPN+. We also had Khabib’s brother, Islam Makhachev defeating Davi Ramos via Unanimous Decision, Curtis Blaydes defeating Abdurakhimov via KO/TKO in the second round and Diego Ferreira beating Mairbek Taisumov via Unanimous Decision, despite the Ferreira naysayers. It was not a great surprise when the featured prelim bout ended with Jo Jo Calderwood defeating Andrea ‘KGB’ Lee, but it was by a somewhat surprising split decision win. Overall, it was a great card with only five decisions, one draw and seven finishes.
