In episode 219 of TSB, Caesar, Guru, Francis, and Geeno are in studio.

Despite being a sneaker podcast, they begin the show talking about the Blair Witch Project and how white people act in horror films.

They discuss the “Pride” collections that have been delivered this month and juxtapose them against this year’s BHM collection, and even the recent “Puerto Rico” Nike AF-1, and wonder why other minorities don’t get the same level of support by brands in general as their LGBT counterparts.

Did Jordan Brand shoot themselves in the foot by releasing three shoes at a $225 price point all on the same day?

They’re looking forward to the OG “White/Fire Red” Air Jordan 5s never year. The Yeezy 700 Boost VX? Not so much.

Big girls need love too, and Nike says they want to be the brand to give you to them by expanding their apparel sizing to to fit around some of the lovely lady curves.

Adidas has made it to the big, little league, becoming the exclusive partner of Little League Baseball. Prepare yourself for Yeezy cleats.

Speaking of the 3 Stripes, they–and somehow Reebok–are ranked as one of the most transparent brands in the industry. In terms of what? We don’t know. But just know that they were ranked by somebody somewhere.

Kawhi Leonard wants to win on the court, and in a court……room. He’s suing Nike for his “Klaw” logo that he claims to have designed. For someone known for their defense, you’d think he would’ve done a better job defending his intellectual property.

And finally, in terms of PR–especially with women–Nike has been having one of the worse stretches in recent memory. Adding to the litany of negative press, Nike is eliminating their on-campus day care program, which has been a benefit to this female employees. Well, they’re not so much “eliminating” it as they are outsourcing 10 minutes off-site in the hands of a a private equity firm. Brought to his attention by actual employees at the Swoosh, Caesar gives an in-depth report on the situation at Nike HQ.
