Nine years ago, Bassem Youssef skyrocketed to fame as Egypt’s most famous satirist – the “Jon Stewart of the Middle East." Three years later, he was forced to flee, with death threats hanging over his head. He’s stuck in quarantine in the United States now, just like us. But despite all of America’s foibles, Bassem says he’s glad to be here.
