NBC and MSNBC correspondent JACOB SOBOROFF was one of the first journalists allowed inside a Texas detention center at the start of the Trump administration’s family separation policy. He now has a new book, Separated: Inside an American Tragedy, that trace the Trump’s zero tolerance policy and its impact on the detained migrant families, many of whom are still not reunited. We’ll talk to Soboroff about, the roots of the Trump policy, the families who were torn apart, and the continuing immigration crisis including the risk of COVID-19 for the children and adults held in detention centers.
