Last season the Denver Broncos defense struggled against the run in the first four weeks of the 2019 regular season. Once Todd Davis and Alexander Johnson became the starting duo at the Mike and Will positions, the team went from being 30th ranked against the run to 16th at the end of the season. Both Davis and Johnson led the team in tackles with Davis at first with 136 tackles, and Johnson contributing 96 tackles. In our Projecting Depth Series, we analyze the inside linebacker position and discuss the starters and the backups behind them.

The NFL anticipates that NFL Training Camp will start on time, but there is some concern from the NFLPA and the Players Union about a start time in July. Cody Roark analyzes the Denver Broncos need to have a productive training camp in comparison to other teams in the AFC West. With the team's overall youth, they've got more work to do than a team like the Kansas City Chiefs from a continuity and chemistry standpoint - a new offensive coordinator and QB coach.
