Another week is set to wrap and that means a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to get you set for the weekend. This week, we look at the NHL's return to play plan moving into Phase 2, Connor McDavid's Masterton Trophy nomination, Leon Draisaitl's Hart Trophy debate, and a lot more. To kick off today's podcast, we jumped in with a look at the next phase in the NHL's return to play plan, which will have teams showing up for training camp starting on July 10th. My question for the boys was whether or not they care about who skates with one another during these early skates or if it even matters at this point? Speaking of training camp, I wanted to know whether or not the boys have had a change of heart in terms of their overall excitement for hockey to come back over these past three months since the league pressed pause. Changing gears, we looked at a recent report that Jesse Puljujarvi's stance on returning to the Oilers may have softened a little bit so we talked about whether or not it would be a good idea for the former fourth overall pick to come back to the team that drafted him when it really looked like that would never be an option. Next up, we looked at this morning's news about Dmitri Samorukov staying in Russia for the 2020-21 season. Is he unhappy with the organization? Is he just looking to ensure that he actually gets to play hockey this year? Looking at the NHL awards, we talked about which trophy is more valuable: The Hart or the Ted Lindsay Award? Lastly, we finished off this week's podcast with a shout out to Cooper Marody's song to Colby Cave entitled, "Agape."
