Scout is growing up in Maycomb, Alabama, during the Great Depression. Over the next couple of years, she will experience one of the most dramatic and formative times of her life as she observes her father defending a black man accused of rape. In the film version, Gregory Peck is a master at bringing the character of Atticus Finch to life and showcasing the struggle to defend a man the whole town would rather see dead.
